Mijn enkels niet achteraf last van me.
TOTAL RIP OFF!
Mijn zus had hetzelfde probleem.

Hm. Ik heb breed en plat-achtige voeten. Zou je aanraden deze schoenen voor mij?
I have the FitFlops and i love them, but winter is approaching and I'd like to keep my toes for another year. ![]()
NEVER use these for sports…
it's one of their major drawbacks; the instability pockets they put in the sole make them dangerous during lateral movement.
if you've got flat feet, you're ankle structure is probably naturally loose (flat feet come from a depressed longitudinal arch on the inner part of the foot) and this looseness is already a lot to handle without the added instability.
the best path is to simply find a comfortable shoe that lets you move well wh
…while focusing on foot, ankle, and calf strengthening exercises in the gym.
Don't fall for the marketing of these shoes… there are much better and safer ways to tone buns and legs (probably more fun too!)
Just received a pair 4 days ago. Ik hou van ze! I use them while taking my 1 mile walks and can feel a difference in my legs.
I have gained some weight after I turned 40 and have Plantar Fasciitis, these shoes are a daily life saver. I can walk with my 10 year old in the mall and around town with no pain. I feel 20 years old again. I wish Reebok would make these is mens for my son. He is heavier and gets tired easily. Also I messed up the bottom of the shoe and customer service exchanged them for me. I will be buying more of these shoes, PLEASE do not stop making them.
I just ordered mine, very excited to try them out. I've noticed price is a factor to many, so I wanted to pass this on. I ordered mine today online at http://www.footsmart.com and entered promo code smsshoe3 and saved 15% and FREE SHIPPING! Which brought the $109 cost on the Easytone Go Outside down to $93. Any savings help, thought I'd pass it alone.
Sorry everyone, Heather again, my last message I entered the promo code incorrectly its wmsshoe3.
I live in utah, and ordered my shoes from jcpenney very excited to get them and try them out. I work in a kitchen and am on my feet most of the day so it will be interesting to see if I get any results!!! also jcpenney had them on sale for 89.99 plus a $15 coupon so I spent $80 that is pretty comparable if you want a good shoe.
After reading a ton of comments, and searching the web for the best prices, I bought the shoes. Can't wait to get them. I'll be using them indoors over the Winter but when Summer comes around I'll get a good 3 miles a day in the outside! I bought mine at foot locker for $79.00 bucks PLUS $10.00 off ( because I spent more than $50.00 ) My total came to just under $77.00 INCLUDING shipping. The white/green ones are for this price only.
I would like to know can you use these to work in? I am a dental assistant and wear tennis shoes for 9 hours a day. would these shoes be able to be worn that long?
@ Biomech Skeptic – I can understand what you're saying, in theory, but I have to disagree in practice. I can't speak to the Reebok EasyTones yet, I'm here doing research before trying them. But, I can speak to the benefits of MBT's.
I'm EXTREMELY flat-footed, I've always had extremely weak ankles, I have a 6 year old massive knee injury (3 ligaments), I have a bad back, and weak hamstrings from the surgery to repair my knee, as well as fibromyalgia. I KNOW, I'ma mess!
I bought the MBT's about 2 months ago, at the suggestion of some people who'd seen me in pain – and these shoes have changed my life. Parts of my lower legs that I thought had atrophied during my knee recovery are becoming very well-developed. My ankles, which were beginning to look like elephants, from the stresses on them, and the injuries to them, now look and feel like normal, human ankles. My knees feel less strain. And, the FIRST thing I'd noticed is how much better my posture was, immediately.
It's my opinion that wearing these MBT's has strengthened me, all over. I have a LOT LESS pain, and my added strength has improved my overall physical confidence. If the Reebok EasyTones can do this for less money (and I'll test them well, before I buy), I'm all for them!
BTW, I don't much like the Sketchers. They're better than regular sneakers, but not in the same league as my MBT's.
I just ordered my Easytones from Footlocker.com and used the promotional code LKS19V99 for $20 off. For my $99.00 shoes, my final total was $92.42. I can't wait to get them!!!!
I have tried MBT's and these shoes are formulated just like them. The issue is that they are designed for everyday walking and may be useful while doing leg exercises such as lunges and squates. However, when it comes to more intense exercise like jogging, running, or walking on anything other than a completely flat surface they can be harmful to your back and cause you to trip. If you live in tennis shoes sure these are great for everyday errands but not so much for a gym workout or jog.
I own MBTs and I love them got to give these a try! By the way anyone that owns MBTs can resole them at resoleamerica.com
I see the Reebok EasyTone shoes as a way to get a little extra “oomph” from my ordinary walking activities (ie while shopping, doing yardwork, etc.). Due to the inherent instability in the soles, I'd never use them for exercise activities where balance would be an issue. But I'm really looking forward to getting a pair so I can get a little more workout from my daily activities, on top of my regular exercise routines, which I conduct in traditional “gym” shoes.
I have a big dog that needs 2 long (1hr. +) walks per day. This takes a good chunk of time out of my day and I find it hard to add time at the gym. These shoes sound like a great way to step up the walks that I am already taking. I think it's silly to expect them to replace the gym, but a good way to augment and enhance your current excersize plan.
I went to dicks today and tried them on, im having the same problem with them the ankle/heel it slips up and down rubbing even with a smaller size, i know this is going to be a problem because i have a pair of newbalance that do that too and I get blisters. Iemand anders?
@ Flatfoot
I am glad to hear MBTs have been such a lifesaver… and I do secretly hope that EasyTones are another miracle shoe.
I guess I'm quietly seething at the marketing ploy of the commerical I saw ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCHKXICefFw ) and the lack of total disclosure in terms of risks and research that these shoes represent.
I'm flatfooted myself and have multiple ankle and shin problems because of it so I can definitely understand the desire for a shoe like this.
I just hope those that do purchase it do so knowing the limitations and potential risks involved as Reebok doesn't seem to publish research results.
I'ma Sketchers fan but the Sketchers leg toning shoes look like rocking chairs for your feet, I'm not a fan of this brand, never have been because my grandma wore them when I was a kid, but these shoes I would actually wear out in public like when I go shopping or walking and stuff because they are cute and get good use out of them.
Has anybody tried the AVON – CURVES TONING TRAINER?
I been using these shoes for a month I am on my feet a lot (nursning) and i do feel them wroking out my muscles but have not seen any results on my legs they are the same to me
so I dont know I have mixed feeling aobut them they are really cute too good style compare to the other ones
I'm going today to check out the easy tones. I'm very excited to try these out. I bought my last pair of tennis shoes from The Sports Autority. They offer insurance for your shoe purchase. If they breakdown you file a claim and receive a check for the amount you paid for the shoe. Getting ready to turn in my Nike ($115), insurance ($15) for the reeboks. It will be like getting them for $15!
Infinitely more attractive than MBT's. And I'm not sure they're really very similar. They feel really awesome, though. I only have one problem with them. A little unstable when wet. Slips super easy.
I am flat footed and have patella femoral syndrome. I definitely need to wear medial arch supports in all my shoes. How is the arch support in these?
Are these shoes recommended for runners? or are they strictly for walking and doing standing or stepping exercises?
Are the Easy Tone Rebook shoes recommended for runners? or are they strictly for walking, standing, stepping workouts?
I can't believe how many people aren't willing to pay $100 for a good pair of shoes. Especially people who are on their feet all day! After two foot surgeries I can tell you that a better pair of shoes is ALWAYS worth the price. (If you doubt me just factor in foot pain every night or time off -usually a month of recovery per foot!)
For me and my partner, they are a godsend.
I got them because of chronic problems with my right ankle, after reading these comments, and after cross-comparing with the Sketchers competitor. I chose the Reebok over the Sketchers because of the 360 degree fine muscle activity. The Sketchers actually felt better as far as the ankle was concerned, keeping it very level and straight as I walked, but that's not really what I wanted. I wanted to strengthen those lateral muscles that stabilize the foot naturally.
Besides…the Reebok were cuter. ![]()
After two days of wearing these shoes, the pain is nearly gone, my knees are more stable as well, an unexpected benefit, as it the fact that my lower back feels ten years younger. I figure skate and balanced joint strength is vital. I've already noticed a difference in the stability of my edges.
I encouraged my partner, who also skates, to try them out. Her feet are the exact opposite of my flat frog feet, having very high arches which have always been difficult to fit with running shoes of any brand. She tried these on…and walked out of the store with them, with a spring in her walk I haven't seen in years.
These shoes have a marvelous added benefit I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. The ball at the toe encourages you to use your toes around it as you walk and squat…very necessary for skating, but also for healthy strong feet in general. Most shoes discourage toe action, being basically hard shell casings around the toes. This encourages it…in fact, demands it. I suspect that's where much of its “28%” added benny comes from. They challenge fine muscles, not the big ones, and those little suckers use up lots of energy.
If you don't use that, if you passively let the shoes do the work, I can see where people could have some of the problems described above.
I have limited funds for something like this, but when these wear out, I guarantee, I'm going back for more.
Do these shoes run true to size?
I just bought my first pair of easytones. I have always had foot pain no matter what and now these feel great!!!
So I have ALWAYS been a Nike runner shoe person and ADIDAS sandals, but since I dont always have time to go work out I am thinking of cheating on my new Nikes, and since these are only $99 I am thinking of trying them, your feed back really helped me make my decision….thx everyone
I bought these shoes just the other day after trying them on! I though they would feel funny but they are surprisingly comfortable! They are very soft to walk in sort of like walking on sand! I dont know whether or not my back side will look any better after wearing them but I intend to find out! I am a nurse and am on my feet a lot a work which is where I wear these so hopefully they are worth the $104.00 I spent on them!
I'm wearing my new pair today. I've had them on for 2 hours, and can definitely feel my legs getting a work out. Plus, I like the fact that they don't look as dorky as the MBT's.
I loved mine while they lasted. They definitely worked you and were extremely comfortable. They only lasted a month or two before I walked the bottom off of them so they would squish air out each step I took.
Has anyone worn both the EasyTone and FitFlops? I'm interested in how they compare. I live in my FitFlops and would love to be able to work out in them, but they're not really made for that (since they're flip flops, duh.) I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis and my FitFlops have given me my life back. Any comparisons are greatly appreciated!!
I've been wearing EasyTones nearly everyday for almost a month. I work in a big box store and walk/stand on concrete all day. These are definitely relieving some of the fatigue my feet and legs normally felt. I haven't noticed any instability, nor have I noticed any “toning”, but the comfort is well worth the price.
I've owned the fitflops for about a year now. They are beyond comforable, but I don't think they have done a thing to “tone” my legs. I have a feeling it's the same with these shoes.
these shoes are very comfy and after walking a few blocks at a fast pace my calf muscles were fatigued… i think they work.
I bought them….they were great until I was unlucky enough to step on a tack and deflated the front ball
I would recommend that you wear them ONLY indoors (such as a Gym environment) I have also used the MBT before but they are not cute at all….and I would not recommend wearing them in a gym they are way to heavy.
I just got a pair my calves are sore as hell already only dislike is I wish the sneaker looked like a 100.00 pair I bought them from lady footlocker
I would try these shoes but the advertised commercial has no cultural competency. We have too many issues involving the dangers of negative self image, that showing a perfectly sculpted woman's body with talking breasts and leaving a final image of her backside bending over frankly disgusts me. I'll never wear anything that says Reebok ever again in my life. I'll discourage anyone from supporting something so thoughtless and objectifying of women.
Can you actually run or do aerobics in these sneakers? Or are they just for walking?
While shape is different, they are the same concept as the Sketchers Shape-ups. The Shape-ups look/are shaped more like the MBT shoes. Pricing is basically the same.
I walk 4 miles a day, I've always worn Asics and had no trouble whatsoever. I got a pair of Easytones yesterday and I'm taking them back. By the time I got to mile 2 my feet were killing me .
.
.
I cut the walk short and by the time I got home my feet were numb. ![]()
seems a little ridiculous. reminds me of all of those exercise equipment infomercials that are on late at night.
I say don't waste your money. Go buy a really great pair of real running shoes and hit the road. Sorry ladies..a special shoe won't make you look like the model on the commercial.
I think the point is to get some toning in for those who don't have the time to exercise, not to replace exercise.
These shoes are the
most comfortable trainers for my kickboxing program. Since purchasing these, my knees feel better, my shin splints are better, and I have dropped 3 inches around my waist. My life partner Simon is so happy!!!!
They are not at all like MBT's which I have had for the past 5 years. Nor are they like running shoes- also which I have used daily. Both are great in their own right….
The Reeboks feel fabulous and there is no stability issue- so far the most favorite shoe I have owned- and cheaper than all the rest.
Would they be good for someone who doesnt get much time to work out but is on her feet alot?
i bought a pair of easy tone after about 2 months my left shoe popped so i would not recomend buying these shoes
I have the sketcher shape ups same thing as easy tone and love them! Avon makes a pair for 50.00
I have had these shoes for about two months and I love them. I walk my dogs every morning and evening and have noticed a big difference in just the few miles we trek. Like many, I don't have huge amounts of time to get to the gym, so these reasonably priced shoes have been a great purchase.
Are many of you finding that the ball wears out after the 2 month mark? After reading all the comments, it seems like 2 months is the shelf life of these shoes, which is pretty short, considering how much they cost, and how little exercise you can actually do in them.
After reading all the comments above and doing a little more research I was sold on these sneakers.
I went and bought a pair at Lady Foot Locker and wore them around the mall – they are way comfortable and I could feel some muscle differences.
I have now used them on the treadmill (for speed walking and elevation only). My only complaints are my feet feel really hot and my heel does come out a little when walking super fast.
My mother baught me the shoes for my birthday and i love them. wearing them, i felt like i was standing on a trampoline.
I love these shoes. I am a plus size girl who was out of shape >
I bought these about a week ago, I am on my feet the whole eight hours I work. I don't feel the workout as I'm working; however I am sore after I take my shoes off. Ik vind ze.
My Easy Tones are extremely comfortable until I've had them on for about a mile into my walk and then the front of my foot gets numb. It helps a little to loosen the shoe laces. They do work my legs though. I'm hesitant about returing them because they are comforatable and I can see the results.
This are the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn and not worth the money I spent. Doe het niet.
I haven't seen a shoe in a really long time that has caught my eye like the new Reebok Easytone. I am really excited about these shoes an would love to try them.
I'm really interested in purchasing the reebok easytone, but they are very expensive! I'm also wondering if you are able to run in them, i'm very active and go for walks and running and i want to know if they are apropriate for workouts, it would be so much help if someone could tell me.
I am going to buy a pair of these shoes but when doing some research I found that there were several types of the “easytone” shoe. Can anyone clarify the differences between the different shoes?
I'M THINKING OF TRYING THEM….I HAD KNEE SURGERY AND OF COURSE THE MUSCLE AROUND THE KNEE'S BECOME WEAK. I'M IN THE GYM NOW WITH A PERSONAL TRAINER WORKING ON SOME OF THOSE MUSCLE THAT THE SHOES SAY THEY INCREASE…IT WONT HURT TO HAVE THOSE MUSCLE ON CHECK ALL DAY LONG I THINK IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL BE GOOD FOR ME AND CONTINUE THE GYM.
I will comment back after a couple of months of trying them out…I still have some pain if any body has had knee surgery you know what I'm talking about…
Re-iterating some and answering to a few previous posts:
-EasyTones come in 'Wide' sizes
-EasyTones also come as Flipflops
-These great shoes are NOT for Running or Tennis or Sports such as Basketball etc..
As someone stated earlier, these are meant for everyday walking, such as non-workouts – walking to the grocery store, park etc.. and pls Don't go nuts walking over 2 miles the very first day of use!! Give your body time to adjust – it is different from time to 'break-in'. In any case these shoes don't need breaking into, but your body does need to get used to these…..so build up the time spent walking in these. Just like you wouldn't advise an absolute beginner at cardio to walk 4 miles the very first day!!
these shoes are amazing i bought them at my store purely because they were very comfy i didnt care about the leg shapping and stuff. to my very pleasant surprise they have fixed my posture my feet no longer turn in my shin splints are gone and my lower back is pain free! added that afetr 3 weeks of waering them at work 8 hrs a day my legs look totally different im amazed they do what they say and sooooo much more. i may have bought these cheaper but i would pay the $100 for them anyday. as a matter of fact i am buying them for my mom and sister for christmas.
I can honestly say that I am a big fan, the easy tone shoes work very well. I am a nurse and I spend most of the day on my feet and I thought I'd wear them see how they worked and after wearing them and walking around in them, I would recommend them to everyone! They are comfortable and you can feel it in your calfs and thighs with in minutes. I have three pairs and I want more!!! Great Job REEBOK!!
I tried the EasyTone sneakers and was not a fan.
I far prefer the SmartSole Exercise Insole
( http://www.smartsole.com ) My trainer recommended them to me. They are super comfortable and you can wear them to tighten and tone in any flat shoe. So you are burning extra calories while you are just running errands. The EasyTone sneakers are only designed to be worn when working out. I also found the code fit10 on the Prevention website which saved me 10% on my smartsole fitness insoles.
I have had a pair since June and I must say that while I had numbness and pain on the bottom of my feet the first few times walking in them that dissipated and they are fantastic!! I use them on cardio equipment and for weight training they are the most comfortable – I tried the Curves shoe did not like…
Remember that there are different models and if you are using for outdoor use you need to purchase the outdoor walker. Many have asked if they fit wide feet – they do come in wide sizing and I wear my regular foot size.
I have worked in the shoe industry for a couple of years now. There have been several brands that have attempted similar styles to this Reebok. There is one major difference I see with the MBT and the Reebok. The MBT is designed with what we call a negative heel. This is designed to create a rocker sole on the shoe, basically rolling the foot through the walking motion. Conversly the Reebok has a flat sole built on two wabbly air pockets. The concept is correct in the sense that it forces your muscles to work harder. My experience with people that have foot, leg, and back problems that this is not a good long term solution. It is better to have a comfortable shoe that gives you proper support, that it is to have a comfortable shoe that delibarately creates instability. If you are interested in working out those parts of your body and don't have much time, I would recommended doing palates or something like that from the comfort of your home. I have concerns about the long-term effects of wearing a shoe built like this one.
I had a pair of the MBTs and aside from being ugly and uncomfortable (they're plastic, NOT leather) no matter how long I wore them I never felt anything. Well, I felt taller and Frankenstein-like. But no extra muscle action…proving my legs and butt are much stronger than I'd realized. Or maybe my body mechanics are just good from long habit. I expected at minimum the smaller stabilizer muscles would feel some work…but nothing. But then I don't find walking in soft sand difficult, either. And I'm no gym rat!
Still, I'll be trying out the Reeboks not so much for the supposed toning action but because they seem really comfortable for all-day wear and the ones I tried on (to ensure right size before asking for them as a gift) in the store were surprisingly nice. The MBTs were not (the heel portion of the sole has some squish but no padding at all inside the shoe) and made my feet hot.
If your lower body is weak this type of shoe may help. If it's already strong, don't expect to notice anything much.
these shoes maybe as advertised, however, if you don't fit into the narrow/regular width foot they are not available for you. also, they don't manufactor men's sizes for women to move to when the smaller women's sizes will not fit. bought from competitor.
The commercial I saw really got me interested in these shoes but from reading reviews on this site and others… Makes me change my mind about them. For $100-$124 dollars… they better be cute. They also better be made to walk, run, jog, lift weights, and everything else in them. From what I read about the shoes… The are not made to run in or lift heavy weights. Definitely not worth $100 dollars.
I bought the Sketchers because Sketchers always fit me better than Reeboks. They are cute in black and white with tiny rhinestones by each eyelet. I have used them at the gym for treadmill, elliptical and weight training as well as around the house and I love the feel.
To Michele…Monica wants the Reeboks for Christmas.
At Reebok.com you can customize your own pair so that you get colors that are actually cute, instead of the ugly pre-made styles they have. I just made a blue and yellow pair and it was lots of fun!
I am interested in the Easytone, but..I feel like (and my shoes look like) I am leaning, walking -don't know which-to the outside of my legs and feet. Will these shoes, or any shoes, help correct this?
I bought these just over a week ago at Dicks. I was concerned about the wearing out after reading the comments here, so I purchased the shoe warranty for $12. If they wear out, as some people have said, they will replace the shoes.
I work ap/t where I'm on my feet 7 hours a day/3 days per week. I wore them for every shift last week and had no problems with my feet feeling numb as some other people had stated, and my feet aren't nearly as sore as they are when I wear any of my Adidas sneakers. That was my main reason for purchasing them, so any other benefit will be icing on the cake!
FWIW, I have run on the treadmill with them twice. I did 2 1/2 miles in them earlier today. While they may not be “made” for running, I don't have a problem with them and again, they're more comfortable than my “running” shoes.
Just got a pair this weekend. Went out for a walk and can totally feel the muscles that are being worked. Tot nu toe zo goed ..
I got some last week and I love them. They are very comfortable and easy to walk in. I walk about a mile daily and I have worn them to the gym on the eliptical. Work great- more comfortable than my regular running shoes. I would not recommend them for playing sports of course. But for walking and to the gym for moderate work outs, I think they are great and well worth the money (again, for me they fit great and are very comfortable so far- great padding on the ballof the foot).
I think they would be great if you have ankle problems… I think my ankles are stronger already from using them just a week. now I want the fitflops!
I got a pair of Ryn Shoes at Bliss World and they are absolutely amazing. I know they are more expensive, but the results are certainly worth it.
Ryn I think is the premium in the new Rocker Sole category — they are so good they don't really need to advertise.
I wanted to add to what Daniela is saying about Ryn shoes. I absolutely love mine: really hard to wear for more than an hour at the beginning the workout is so good, but after a few weeks you get used to them and nicely toned in my case. BUT they are very hard to find at the moment, very exclusive —– you can find out more about Ryn Shoes by joing their facebook page.
Ik hou van ze! Recovering from a knee and back injury is tough you start to walk differently to compensate for pain and being an active person my whole life it is tough. I figured I needed to change the way I walked, to retrain myself and these sneakers did the trick. I can walk all day again the pain is minimal and I just bought my second pair. They are worth every penny!!!
I bought these at the reebok outlet. They indicated that they can be returned as long as they are not worn outside. Felt great when I tried them on at the store and in the house. First time wearing them outside for my daily hour long walk and they HURT! Makes my toes numb and have the feeling the heel is slipping. Adjusted the laces and the numbness lessened but got blisters on my toes. Shoe creases at the wrong spot near the toe box causing a lot of pain on the top of the foot. Worn 3 times hoping for alternate ending. Hope I can take them back…or at least get a store credit. Erg teleurgesteld.
I think that the reebok easytone shoes are a sad excuse for a workout. I would not recommend buying this product to tone your legs. The only thing that actually tones your muscles is EXERCISE.
this product is a sad excuse for lazy people, who want to work out but can't get their fat asses, and legs, in this case, to the gym!
A couple of comments… I feel like there is a lack of common sense with some people. With shoes like this you have to slowly work up. If you're used to walking long distances, great, but these types of shoes, MBT's, Shape Ups, Easy Tones, you have to slowly work up. I'm sitting here like this: 0.o reading people whining about how they walked two miles it hurt their feet and they're returning the shoe, like it's a problem with the shoe.
Het is het niet. It's a problem with you taking a totally different kind of shoe and basically moving in a way you are totally not used to and trying to go full throttle immediately. The Sketcher's brand warns you to start slow, maybe Reebok needs to carry this warning as well.
To the person who said: “Mine deflated in two months” You were walking one and a half hours a day. Walking shoes should be replaced every 3-6 months. And that's walking 30-60 minutes a day. It's not hard to see how you walking 90 minutes a day deflated your shoes in 2 months. That's just normal wear and tear. The more you walk, the more often you have to replace walking shoes.
Common sense people.
Sorry I'll stop being a *B* now. Just reading some of these comments I wonder how people dress themselves.
Okay, after further research apologies are in order from me. I think the people who are wary about the Easy Tones are right to be. I've just finished spending hours researching walking and running shoes and biomechanics and blah blah blah. Not saying I'm an expert after only a few hours of reading but… I will NOT be buying Easy Tones because “balance pods” under your feet are probably the stupidest things we could put under our feet, besides shoes in general. (Yeah I'm almost a barefoot convert in only a few hours of reading. This is based on articles by podiatrists who are starting to see the benefits of barefoot or as close to barefoot as possible for foot and postural health in general.)
I was reading about studies where runners who wore more high-end cushioned running shoes, had more foot and joint injuries than people who had much less expensive shoes. And tribal cultures where they run all the time barefoot and none of them have the injuries and joint problems our country has.
Even if it feels like you're walking on a cloud, it's my opinion that it's a bad idea because anything that further weakens the foot muscles (and the more cushioning you have, the more of that you have) the worse off you are.
Shoes I'm looking into now: Nike Free (super flexible shoe that mimics natural foot movement), and Vibram Fivefingers (probably the closest thing you'll ever get to barefoot.) I consider Nike Free a transitional shoe working toward something like Vibram Fivefingers.
Ironically all this crap we put in our shoes to support our feet and walk better, are the problem.
Jury is still out, I'm not saying my view after a lot of research today is the 100% infallible truth but I'm leaning towards less support and building up foot muscles.
So cushiony cloud shoes that supposedly firm up my butt are totally out. I'll do squats for my butt like normal people.
Got my Easytone's two weeks ago on special and I'm in love with them. We have tested them at the gym and have noticed an increase in my exercise and energy levels.
Fab, Fab, Fab
I just purchased easytones last week, and so far so good. I only wore them for a few hours the first day, as they made my feet slightly sore, but now I wear them all day. I definitely feel as though they are triggering certain muscles, so I will continue to wear them. I read on a review here that someone stepped on a tack and the front air cushion collapsed. Interessant. Explains the indoor/outdoor versions. I'm glad I purchased a replacement plan for $11.00 for the shoes when I purchased them at Dick's Sporting Goods. Oh, I wanted to mention to go up 1/2 size too. I'm happy so far!
Curves makes an affordable alternative to these and MBT. I own the sneakers, and sandals and love them. I have 2 kids and never spend that kind of money on my own shoes so the Curves version work well for me, for $49.99. You can find them on Avon.com. I was suffering from plantar fasciitis after the birth of my daughter, and the velcro curves sandals were all I could comfortably wear. I do believe that these help tone your legs, but def not a workout replacement.
I got them a month or two back and they're the only shoes I wear! These shoes are not difficult to walk in at all- kind of fun actually! After a week I felt the burn and knew they were working. People always compliment that they're cute, but they dont know the toning secret!(; Now I definately see the difference in my legs and butt + would recommend these to anyone. I love my easy tones!
they do NOT make these in wide widths!!! I have tried a pair on, they are suppose to fit snug ~ however the sales lady agreed with me that my foot is to wide and to get the width I need they are too long( I usually end up with the guys version of a shoebecause of my width)I do wish that they would realize that not all women have nice slim feet. I would love to have a pair and was willing to pay the price asked. to bad for me and my fat feet.
can you run in them?
I don't know about the workout part, but these are the ONLY shoes I've found that actually help my plantar fasciitis-no heel pain after wearing all day. Worth every penny for this reason alone!
REEBOKS easytone are NOT what they say to be or do. SKETCHERS SHAPE UPS are by far the better work out shoe. I've done my research on both and tried them. SKETCHERS do exactly what they claim. I love my sketchers BETTER!! So worth the money!! TRSUT ME!!
they do work i bought them at my store lady foot locker… i felt my legs sored the first 2 weeks couldnt even get up from bed… trust people they do work and it is worth $110
Got these lastnight for xmas . make my feet numb and they are so stiff . I want to like them but not sure if I can stand my feet hurting this bad i am sitting here now wearing thwm not even walking and my foot is numb to my knee .
I tried them 2 months ago and in two months that backs of the heels ripped out and one of the pockets of air is broken and all I do in my shoes is work at Walgreens. I tried to comment the company of Reebook and every time I tried when I went to submit the comment to them it would go to an error message, makes me wonder if they even want to hear from a hard working person who is on their feet all the time….A 100 dollars is alot to spend and I expected them to last longer than Walmart shoes which lasts longer than a year….
I got mine for Christmas today and I LOVE THEM! GREAT SHOES!
At reebok.com you can customize your easytone shoes so that you can pick your own color-scheme. It is more expensive at $129, but you will get exactly what colors you like.
I've had the Rebok easytone shoes for about a month. I went to the Lady Foot Locker to get them because the store was having 25% off everything sale. – but these shoes were the exception. No sale deal allowed for these shoes. A bit disappointing, since I drove an hour to get to the store. Could have saved myself the trip if I bought them online.
The shoes are comfortable but they are limited. I use them for work and general walking around. I went out for a long walk with a friend – maybe 5 miles. My heal was getting a bit uncomfortable by the end of the walk, but didn't last long. I did, however, get a scab on the top of my foot – where the foot flexes for the toe. The “leather” at the base of the shoestrings is a bit stiff and rubbed my foot. I didn't feel it at the time, but noticed the scab and discomfort the next day.
I think these are good shoes for day to day stuff. I would not set off to do any long walks on them, unless it was flat, city walking. But since they are limited, I don't think they are worth what they are charging – esp. since you can't get them on sale.
I am a pretty quiet walker- you don't usually hear me walking down the hall. These shoes are a bit noisier. You can hear me walking around. If you were more of a “loud” walker, you'd probably be annoying to others.
By the way, my butt and legs look as they always have. Nothing to brag about.
I bought these at less than $100 from the Reebok in the Las Vegas Outlet Mall on Warmsprings and Las Vegas Blvd on Christmas Eve (a present to myself) and proceeded to go mall shopping for a good 4 hours! By the end, my hips were aching, knees in pain, back totally stressed and I didn't even want to go to Food 4 Less to get celery for xmas dinner. Next day tried to wear them again while cooking the feast because I was going to be on my feet for a LONG time and AGAIN my body ached. This is the third day I'm going to wear them and if I get the same physical ailments I am going to return them. How can I exercise effectively if the shoes I'm wearing are crippling me?
I custom ordered these Dec.1.09 and received them on Christmas Eve! They are awesome! I wore them for the whole day yesterday and were extremely comfy. I am in my early 20's and have bad back, knee, and ankle problems due to sports, these shoes immediately eased the pain. I had no back pain the whole day! Custom made, these shoes came out to 157.00 but well worth it. I am definitely going to order more!
I just got a pair and I definitely do feel them working in the back of my legs. BUT my joints have been hurting since I got them, my knees and hips and I rolled my ankle. I am only 20 so I know it isn't from anything else. The hard soles are pretty uncomfortable too.
I got them for christmas and wore them today at work all day and didnt feel a thing. Is it over a period of time or should i feel my muscles working?
I just got a pair for christmas and wore them all day at work, 8 hour shift working retail. I didnt feel a thing in my legs? Am I supposed to? Do they work for everyone?
My husband has MBT's (has a bad back) which he has been wearing as work shoes, have made a HUGE difference for him. I bought the poor man's version (Skechers shape ups) which I have been walking/running in 4 days a week > We zullen zien. All money well spent, so far.
i just got these sneakers for xmas and i wore them today to the gym, which i think was a mistake due to the inestability, but im guessing, from what i've just read here and what i experienced today, that they will probablt be OK when doing some elliptical or something similar… right?
I also noticed that I feel more the cushion of the airpod placed on the forefoot than the one placed on the heel,,, is it normal or did the airpod on the heel may have burst or something like that??
I bought a pair a few weeks ago.
bedankt
I'm 57 years old. I've been walking 5 miles a day for years. I bought the reeboks and wore them around the house for half an hour. The only thing that hurt when I was done were my ankles. I took them back.
I would really like to know which are better…which ones help tone better..EasyTones or Shape Ups? any opnions? I have both at home right now, needing to return the one I don't want, but I can't pick between the two! I need to know which one works better!
Got some easy tons for christma, love them so far, they do seem to work. After walking a normal walk I do I noticed I more tired and my legs were a little sore… it's like walking in sand which is nice cause while you get a work out it doesn't feel like you're killing you feet or legs.
Ok, I was trying to figure out which shoes I should purchase the Sketchers Shapeups or the EasyTone. After reading the product specifications I would NEVER consider buying the EasyTone. I maybe a little biased because I have one extremely bad ankle and the other is probably below par as well. Walking with your feet on uneven ground (not like an incline, like walking on rocks) is not good for your ankles or knees as you can easily roll them and destroy your ligaments for life. These shoes promote you to carelessly do just this. Incase you don't believe me I stepped the wrong way on a curb once and fractured and sprained two ligaments in my foot at the same time.
Now if these shoes extended to support the whole width of your foot and made it less likely for your feet to roll side to side I might try them. The Sketchers seem to do this. It seems like it would make it like you were walking at an incline.
The Sketchers also seem more durable as they don't depend on air pockets staying inflated to work. If you are concerned about looks they have 4 pgs of shapeups with boots, tennis shoes and shoes you can wear to work. The work shoes are OSHA slip resistant.
You may not have bad ankles and knees and still be considering Easytones but I really advise you against it. I have a feeling that these shoes are going to cause a lot of NEW ankle and knee injuries… Why do you think they advise against activities that have a lot of lateral movement?
Precies.
Thanks to Jess on the SmartSoles alternative. I will be looking into these before I pay $100 for the Shapeups.
I got these shoes in the white and silver for Christmas and I LOVE THEM!!!! They are great!!! I have bad knees and ankles and I am telling you they don't bother either one! I can't wait until I look like the girl in the commercial! LOL
I just got my first pair of Reebok Easy Tone shoes 5 days ago. Just like almost every other woman who's left a comment, I LOVE THEM! The moment I started walking around in these shoes, I knew they were one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned. I bring them to work with me so I can walk on my 15 minute breaks and I can already feel a difference. These shoes make me enjoy going for walks again!! I try to find reasons to get out and walk now. I totally recommend giving them a shot, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised like the rest of us.
i got them for christmas and i was walking around in them for 20 mins, and i felt it burning my leg muscles, i love them…i just dont like the snow…i cant go outside ![]()
I received these as a Christmas present, wore them 1 day to walk approx. 2.3 miles and by the time I walked 4 blocks, my feet were killing me. I am very flat footed and do not recommend these shoes. I am hoping the store will take them back!
i am very dissapointed i got a pair of the easy tone shoes told you that they made my toes numb hoping you wpold replace the shoe didnt mind spending the 106 bucks but you say you will give the money back havent seen the money yet i thought you were to please your customers dont look like it or you would have gave me another shoe very in happy hope to see credit on my account or a new pair of shoes thank you tina nestor
I've had these shoes for about six weeks and I love them. They are very comfortable! I walk in them, wear them while using the treadmill, elliptical and doing aerobic exercises. I immediately felt them working after my first 5 mile walk in them and last night I noticed toning in my calves, legs, and behind. I will be purchasing another pair.
I just got these for Christmas and LOVE THEM! They are super comfortable and easy to walk in. I didn't feel unbalanced and the silver / pink color worked for me. I'm anxious to find out if I will actually be able to tell the difference in my legs / butt in a few weeks. I did read the leaflet and these shoes are not to be used for running or working out – they are strictly walking shoes that help work the muscles by

Just got these for Christmas and have worn them to the gym on the eliptical and treadmill (walking on incline, not running). My regular workouts are really kicking my butt even more now…in a good way. I always work out pretty hard, but it seems as though with these shoes, it's really kicked into high gear. Too soon to tell if any toning can be attributed to them. I don't feel unstable at all. They are lightweight and comfortable. I would recommend them. They are pricey, but like someone else said, if you get them at Dick's and use an Entertainment book coupon, you can save $20.
Payless has their own version, Stride and Tone, made similar to the Reebok shoe but only $30 in the US I assume they are available in Canada, but not sure.
idk. I think they're just as effective as the Skechers Shape Ups, if anything they're a copy of the Shape Ups.
I have this shoes almost 2month.Yes they really comfortable, but I didnt c any changes on my body.I am not only workin out in this shoes I also run my errands…..
i have had my pair for 2 weeks and LOVE them, i put them on the minute i got them, they are super comfy have never hurt my feet i dont feel unbalanced at all. i do feel that they give my legs and butt a better work out. I walk a lot but also wear them as everyday shoes…every little bit helps. Very happy with these and i would pay 200. if i had to thats how much i like them
I was really excited when the sketchers Shape-Ups came out until I saw how bulky and ugly they are. I'm already 6 feet tall and I try to find shoes that make me as short as possible and was daunted by the size of the sole that would make me at least 2 inches taller. So when I heard about Reebok's shoes, and saw that they look like normal athletic shoes (and sometimes I feel self-conscious in those because of the 1 inch heel) I was excited. I also saw some cool looking fashionable rubber boots at Whole Foods for $100 that are supposed to shape your body in red, yellow, and green. They were completely flat. I was really excited that they were made in the USA in a fair trade green process using recycled products.
I am suppose to get mine on Friday…after reading the comments, I'm thinking about reselling them. A lot of comments about deflating and ankle slip…doesn't sound too promising.
I just bought a pair of the easy tone shoes in black.
Ik hou van mij.
They are comfortable and they look great too. They feel like they work but I haven't owned they long enough to see results. I agree they would not be the best for lateral movements or lots of jumping. They are best for just everyday walking or at work. I play volleyball and I dance and anyway to increase my vertical and streghten my legs is great. Overall I love these shoes and I definatly think that they are a great investment. ![]()
They are great!! After wearing them for a day I was not so much sore, just aware I had a rear end. I will buy another pair.
I very interested in purchasing a pair of Easytone but I live on gravel roads, will they hold up to walking on gravel?
My daughters bought me a pair for Christmas…I went upstairs and put them on…on my way downstairs, I missed the last three steps???? Fell, twisted my ankle and fractured some bones on the top of my foot??? Can't say for sure, if it was the new Easy Tones, but I never did that before…
does these shoe help get a bigger butt?
!!*WARNING*!!
I've wanted a pair of these shoes for a while!! I finally was able to order myself a pair for Christmas. Talk about a nightmare! I found the perfect pair at finishline.com. They were the shiny metallic pair. Around $124. I bought them on December 27th. and was told my order was 'processing' every time I checked on it. Finally on the 7th of January I called to complain about my still 'processing' shoes. Turns out. They NEVER had a pair of the shoes in my size. I was sold the shoes in hopes that they would find a pair matching the ones I bought in one of their stores. Which they did not.
Basically, I bought a pair of shoes that DID NOT EXIST.
These shoes look great and I've heard awesome things about them. However, if you decide to purchase a pair, watch out for this website!
Well, after several months of wanting them, I finally bought a pair last night. I really wanted to order them online and get the colors I wanted but just couldn't bring myself to pay an extra $50 to get a fun color especially since I didn't know if I would like them. However, if you have the money, they have some REALLY cute colors and you can deisgn your own and reebok.com. Anyhow, I wore them around last night and did not want to take them off…had to force myself at bed time to take them off. Wearing them to work today ( I work at a school and we have a snow day today so I plan to walk the halls for a while today) I think they will be great, Love them so far but haven't had them long enough to know much more than that. I am glad to hear what others are saying. I suppose everyone is different and like every other product out there, works for some and not for others. I say if you are interested, give it a try…never know what will work for YOU unless you try. I think there are enough possitives here to be worth giving it a try at least! : 0)
I have 3 pair and have been wearing them everyday since I got them! Ze zijn zo comfortabel! I don't wear them to replace my workout, only enhance it. Someone told me last night that my legs looked stronger… so I guess they are working!
I bought them and LOVE them. I only paid $89 at the store for them too. They are super cumfy and for toning not replacing a workout. If you walk, and most of us do, then why not use a shoe that will help tighten up muscles.
I DEFINITELY CHOOSE THIS OVER SKETCHERS THAT LOOKS LIKE A FLAT FORM.. JUST GOT A NEW PAIR TONIGHT AND I HAVENT TRIED IT YET.. I HOPE IT WORKS GOOD ON ME.. AND BLACK AND WHITE IS REALLY CUTE..NOT THE UGLIEST 1..
OK .. FIRST DAY OF WEARING MY NEW REEBOK EASYTONE FOR 8HRS.. WOW! IT WAS SO GOOD AND VERY COMFORTABLE.. LOOKS VERY SPORTY AND CO WORKERS CAN'T HELP ASKING ME.. SO ELEGANT, AND YET BETTER THAN SKETCHERS.. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT 100 %…
My mom purchased me a pair for my birthday, because I had been talking about them. They are so comfortable and they make working out at the gym or walking a breeze. My mom has problems with her feet (she's 80), I told her to try a pair on, she bought herself a pair and she wears them daily and loves them.
bought them a week ago @ dicks. they were on sale for $99. looooooooooooooooove them. really fun to wear! Hoop dat het helpt
My mom bought me these shoes as a present yesterday. I was a bit concerned as I'm 194 lbs and have heel spurs and am very flatfooted. Additionally, I was suffering from back and joint pains yesterday. I didn't feel like doing my usual run last night so I slipped on the Easytones and walked two kilometres on the treadmill and then around the house for an hour. I actually felt an improvement in the pain caused by the heel spurs and the back ache was alleviated too. I usually have to keep my right foot flexed while sitting so that I don't feel too much pain while waking. So far these seem so ideal that I'm thinking of buying the flip flop version.
I've worn these shoes for about 2 days now, and I'm definitely a fan – though I can't speak to their workout powers; I wasn't sore and really didn't feel any muscles working any harder. I'm definitely keeping them though, they are SO comfortable!! Way soft, and not in the 'too soft unsupportive' way. I did notice, like a few other people who commented, that my heel slips a bit and the crease over the toes is a little sharp. But they're brand new shoes, and I'm confident they'll get better as I wear them in – plus, I'm not a moron who walks for miles the first day I try on some brand new walking shoes. To those of you who did that and decided they hated the shoes – have you never had new shoes before??
Wat dacht je?
Don't blame the poor shoes, they're innocent! They just wanted you to break them in gently!
Also – I have had alignment problems my whole life (flat feet, weak ankles, tilted hip, one leg longer than the other, yadda yadda yadda), and I have had no pain or tiredness whatsoever in my knees or ankles (which usually happens even after a short walk). I also felt like my posture was a little better when I was walking, but that could be wishful thinking. Anyway, they're really fun to walk in, and not having any back/ankle/knee pain means I'm in love ![]()
one last thing – the EasyTones don't look nearly as dorky as the moon-boot MBTs and Sketchers!
These are the best feeling shoes that I've worn. I did wear Merrells all the time but now these are so much better. It took a long time to find the color I wanted, found them at Dick's sporting goods.I've been wearing these for 4 days now, so don't know whether they work to tone or not but the comfort is worth buying them. They take a little getting used to.
I have been using Easytones for about 2 weeks (about 5 hours/day), and I don't feel anything at all!
It could be because I do work out a lot already, so they don't do as much for me? Not sure, but they are comfortable for my flat feet, so that's a plus.
Just bought a pair last night after reading all the great reviews. Was fortunate enough to use a competitor coupon and get them for $25 off at Sports Chalet. Wore them today on a 2 mile walk and could definitely feel a difference going up and down hills. I don't think I will try to jog in them, but for fast walking they felt great and I will most likely be sore (in a good way) tomorrow.
im working in sport store so usually imake training for the new staff , so when i check the easy tone we got more than 2 or 3 model like (Go out side or sunssa ,…) its almost the same but when i check the outer sole its diffrent so iwant to confirm if there is any diffrent in technology thx
My boyfriend saw me looking at these online, I was looking at the black and pink. He couldn't find them in the USA so he called Reebok. They were only sold in the UK. He ordered them, the shipping was more than the shoes. So for about $180 I got them for Christmas. He asked me what size i wear, I wear a 7. When I got the shoes, they are a 7.5. I feel like I have clown feet when wearing them and I need to know if they will actually even work being that they are too big. Also, I have a very high arch and I have always felt that Reebok, any style, doesn't support my arch. These are no better. I will say this, they claim to work by imbalance, I wore them to aerobics class last week and we were doing some balance moves, and to my surprise, I was really off balance. I didn't feel that they were great workout shoes. They are fine if i'm just walking on the treadmill or on the elyptical but my feet actually started hurting during the workout. I can't tell though if that's from them being too big. That may not happen if they are actually the right size.
I bought these Reebok EasyTone shoes in black at Nordstrom a few months ago. I wear a size 7 Nike and had to get these in a 6.5. The top of the shoe squeezes my toes yet my heel can slip right out. I wear these to walk 2-3 miles at time. I find that I am unstable in these shoes, I walk with my husband and I bumped into him a few times. My ankles hurt slightly while wearing them, too. I walk at MOA and the soles tap just a little too loud for my liking.
I will spend any amount of money on a great sneaker so $110 wasn't hard to pay but I wish they were more comfortable. I certainly prefer the look of them to MBT and Skechers.
I would not attempt to wear these while running or working out.
I cannot say that I have noticed a difference in my calves, hamstrings or butt muscles. My best advice is save your money, instead spend $10 on 30 Day Shred and feel better all over.
I got a pair for Christmas, and even if they don't do everything they tout, they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had! Normally, no matter what shoes I wear, my heels hurt at the end of the day. I have worn these all day for 4 days in a row with NO heel pain! They are like walking on cushions. That said, I actually can tell that they are toning my calves some.
Anyone know the difference between the types of the Reebok easytone shoes besides the price??? The website didn't really say anything different about the description so i'm not sure which ones i should get… Can anyone please help me out?!??
Bedankt!

I too would like to know the difference between the “inspire” vs. “reinspire”. I cannot find any guidance anywhere as to what the difference is and which would be better for me. Bedankt!
I think the shoes easytone are expensive yes BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT the first day they hurt of course what shoe doesnt? i love them i lost ten pounds and on my calves i lost 5 inches now im wearing BOOTS!!!
shape-ups suck!
Has anyone had heel pain from running with the Easytones? They are really comfy while running, but later in the day i notice pain in my right heel.
I just bought the easytones today at Foot Locker. I was told by the associate not to run in them for they aren't made for that, BUT they are coming out with a Easytone running shoe sometime in April/May. You can go to the gym and use the treadmill/eliptical. Also, about the different names of the shoes, I have been told that it is just the styles, there are outdoor ones, but they are all the same shoe, just new versions with different names
Beware before you buy. Ordered a custom pair of easy tone shoes December 13th from Reebok.com. Finally (after several phone calls to Reebok) just recieved the shoes today – box was shipped from China. I ordered silver, the shoes I recieved were all white with yellow. Called Reebok customer service and they could not help – “not trained in this product”. Referred me to an email address that will not be answered for 3 or more days. Horrible customer service and stuck with a big bill and the wrong shoes.
I read that someone said the colors were a bad choice, but you can no cusomize the shoes and i have my name on mine and they are black and green the colors I wanted. They were 129$ which isn't bad because I run crosscountry and some of my shoes are more then that. My Reebok Easytones also have my name on the back ![]()
Does it help with knee fat?
These shoes deff work i got them for christmas and i have worn them frequently but even when im not wearing them i feel a difference when i walk like my legs arnt working nearly as hard as before. They are comfy too! the only thing i dont like is that the bottom of the shoe is bigger looking so i feel like ppl are looking at my feet. But a def plus is they make me taller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had these sneakers since December and I must say they are very comfortable. They are very stable to walk in and although I haven't noticed much of a difference in definition, my legs feel like they have been worked out when wearing the sneakers for daily activities.
Got a pair for Christmas. I LOVE the look of the shoe (have the new hot pink and silver version) but after three classes and the gym and one walk around the neighborhood, I've decided they HAVE to go! I feel like my feet are shattering- very similar to shin splints. Extremely painful and inhibit my workout.
I got these shoes for what they say they do and NOT because of the STUPID commercial..I think the commercial for the easy tone shoes are horrible. I actually feel bad for buying the shoes I feel like Im promoting that kind of advertising. BUt I do lovee the shoes!!
I walk the Avon Breast Cancer Marathon and a halfs. I have worn Asics in the past. I am training for this years walk and decided to try these to see how they work.
I have been walking 10-20 miles and working out in them and they are the most comfortable shoes I have found yet.
I am hoping they will have the nicer color ones in July when I will need to replace the pairs I have for new ones. I recommend them to the MVT's also- I personally did not care for those.
I bought the shoes and they deflated after one day of wearing them they worked while they lasted but definatley not worth 100 dollars!
Hate these shoes…..bought them for walking and could not walk more than a quarter of a mile before my arches hurt so bad. Wish I kept the receipt to return them.
i wore them for the first time last night on my walk. wow did i feel muscles i wasnt working in regular shoes. i didnt get as far as i normally would because it was an extreme work out. i weight 320 and just started walking about a week ago. we shall see. i wouldnt wear them to work though they look a little funny.
I learned about smartsoles. they work your lower body muscles but cost only about $30. They are put into your sneakers. Also avon sells sneakers by Curves called toning shoes that are supposed to do the same.
can anyone tell me how the sizing runs in relation to nike? i own lots of nike runnig shoes but haven't had any reeboks in a long long time…not sure what size to order : (
I have never tried the Reebok, But I can tell you all that the Skechers shape Up have changed my life. I had an ankle fusion a year ago and lost the movement in my foot. I used to walk sideways but with the help of the TRULY WONDEROUS Shoes, I can walk normal again. God Bless Them.
Asked my adult children to buy them for me for Christmas. I have never been a fan of gym shoes, but these are extremely comfortable and it will be a great plus if they get my over-50 butt and legs in better shape!
I got a pair at Christmas for myself and my daughter we both love them, the best shoe I ever got for the gym.
These Reebok easy tone are the best shoes I have ever owned! I found a deal for $109 and and have been wearing them for 3 mos now, I'ma stay at home mom so, I have the luxury of wearing them from morning til night…1st weeks I noticed all of a sudden my derrier has a curve I have never seen before!! Whoo hoo! I will buy another pair! hear NIKE is making one of these also. I do own MBT sandels and those are also wonderful..But I never saw the tone I see with these reeboks! I could go on and on! buy a pair you won't be disappointed!
I have owned these shoes for a week now. I ordered 1/2 size bigger like suggest but they are a tad bit too big. They were gorgeous I must say, way better than they looked on the internet. Yes they are the most comfortable shoes ever, really was like walking on pillows. It wasn't hard to stabilize and took no getting used to. I do not feel them working however, no tightness or soreness. I will continue to wear them more and se if I notice a difference. I took measurements and after a month I hope to post again and maybe with some great results to share.
The “science” behind Reebok's claims is bunk. I ranted about their claims awhile ago and my blog post has gotten a lot of hits. The claims are based on bad science, period. Click on my name to get to my post. I'm not a troll and it's not a for-profit site. I'm just a frustrated consumer.
I got these for Christmas and walked arouind the house with them to break them in. Went to Disney World with family and they seemd comfy enough. I took off my shoes that night and there was blood everywhere. The shoes cut into my toes on the same spot on each foot.
They have been returned.
I went to dicks recently. And i tryed a pair on, they were like walking on big fuffy pillows. You can't run in them or jump so i did not get them beacuse i needed running shoes, but if i ever have another 100 to spend i am buying a pair. I don't care if they are ugly i think they totaly work, And for some one who goes to school and often does not have time to work out somedays these are ideal.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A PAIR OF EASYTONE TRENDS .AND I AM VERY DELIGHTED WITH THEM I USE THEM EVERY DAY SINCE I RECIEVED THEM .I HAD A DIFFICULT TIME LOOKING FOR MY SIZE FINALLY I GOT LUCKY,I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH HOW COMFORTABLE THEY ARE I ALSO PURCHASED A NICE PAIR OF SANDLES WHICH I MIGHT ALSO SAY TOOK ME ABOUT A WEEK TO FIND MY SIZE 7 .PRESENTLY I AM LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF BOOTS.
I love these shoes, they are comfy >
I have worn these twice and I am in serious pain! I think like a few others that my heel slides to the side causing the calf muscle to do something unnatural. It is taking forever to heal! I can barely walk on my left leg! Wish I had my $110 back!
THEY ARE COMFORTABLE. it feel like walking on sand. not thick sand, just sand. als dat maakt elke zin. Got them 3 days ago, so im not too sure if they are toning my but and legs, i dont feel exhausted after wearing all day.
I just bought these for work, standing and walking 10 hours a day. I havent seen much of an excercise difference yet, but they are super comfortable and make long days much easier. Highly recommend, at least for a comfie work shoe.
I just received mine so I cant say for sure how well they work yet. I can feel my muscles working harder doing just a basic walk. I dont think they should replace a good lower body workout just enhances it. They are VERY comfortable. the balance balls give a feel of walking on air. They are a little pricey though I got mine for $160 online custom ordered after taxes and shipping but I beleive you can purchase them in stores for $120.
So far I have ordered two different pairs of the Easy Tone and needless to say I have returned both. They are very uncomfortable and I was told to go up a size, I did a half size, so the first was way to small(normal size) and the the half size up…My foot was swimming.
I'm done with the Easy Tone.
I have had a pair for several months now. I do believe that they work. The backs of my legs and rear do get a good workout. I even have had a couple of people say my rear looks better!
It sounds unhealthy!! to create an imbalance!! I would be afraid that my feet will be damaged.
I bought a pair of the knockoffs at Payless and paid $30 for them. I have worn them for two days and after the first day, the muscles in the backs of my legs and lower back were sore just like I'd worked out in them. I love the way they feel on your feet. They are soft and very comfortable and I didn't even buy the Reebok ones.
I'm trying to find the Reebok walking shoes that I bought through The American Heart Association for a $10 donation. This was a great idea! I wish they would do this again.
My husband gave me a pair of these around Thanksgiving because of the amount of time I was spending standing and cooking for numerous events. I still have not worn them outside to really walk in, because I suffered an injury during the week I did wear them. (I was wearing them 6-8 hours a day, and on my feet the whole time.) I ended up at a podiatrist for an incredibly painful injury created by the “instability ball”. The podiatrist himself wears skechers tone >
I have been having leg pain for a few days and makes walking difficult. I seen them at Shoe Carnival for 100.00 and tried them on. They feelllllll soooooo good. Went to the store and walked and walked and no pain. I love the way it feels walking on them. Makes me feel taller too. Felt sooo good in them that I didnt want to take them off. I dont care if it does the extra toning etc they just feel great and Im pain free now. If they do help with toning that is just a added benefit. You can feel the muscles working as you walk. I recommend them 100% Well worth the price.
The websites say to go up a half size. If you are a Nike lover, go down a half size! I wear a 10 in Nike and the 10 in easytones were too large. The run tone shoes are in finish line stores now. I bought a pair last night. I wore regular easytones today for the first time. My ankles (which have been through numerous basketball injuries) are a little sore. The balance pods push weird on the balls of my feet. I don't think they are hard to walk in at all. I do think I noticed them working the backs of my legs a bit. I guess I will know in the morning!
I would like to try them but for the past 3 months, no one has them in stock not even Reebok.
I bought one pair Rs. 4999/- INR. at Mumbai (INDIA). I go daily morning walk at least 1 hour. This shoes are too comfortable >
I should be getting my easytones in the middle of March. Online at Reebok you can custome design them to your liking. If you do that they take 5-7 weeks and are more expensive. I have been readying reviews and decided that I wanted to try them. I hope I love them like everyone else does. I can not wait. I joked with my husband and told him I may not look like the woman on the commercial or on the website but if I can get my legs and butt to look like that then it will be well worth the $157..lol..Once I get them I will definately leave feedback on how I like them.
I just bought them on the weekend. The salesperson said they are not meant for working out/running – because they do not offer stability. They are really just for walking. Incidentally, it feels like I'm walking on air when I wear them.
I was finally able to buy a pair in my size on roadrunner.com for $89.98, join their club for $1.99 and get free shipping and 10% off. I wear them to do my 3 mile very hilly walk twice a week and really feel a difference, especially in my glutes. I also wear them to the gym on the elliptical and treadmill, treadmill is a little tricky if doing an incline and these will take some breaking in for that portion of my workout. All in all I like them and they are comfortable.
I just got the shoes and i am a 235lb girl and i think they are super easy to walk in. However I have wide feet and they do hurt my feet while doinf harder work out in the gym. Just hoping I have to get the “new shoe” out of them and they will be more confortable
I recently received a pair of the Reebok Run Tone shoes for Valentine's Day and I absolutely love them. I also suffer from RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and these shoes seem to help with the pain and achy ness of my legs at night. I am also a nurse which means I am constantly on my feet and these shoes are by far the best shoes that I have bought. I am looking at buying another pair because I love them so much. Can't wait to see what the outcome is from wearing these shoes….
I bought a pair of MBT's and HATE them! I've been wanting to try the reebok easy tones. From the look of the comments, I will have to try them.
Thank you for this line of discussion ![]()
I purchased the easy tone shoes and instantly fell in love with them. Ihave been power walking for some time now and tried on these shoes to see if they measured up to all the hype. Guess what, not only do they measure up, but I purchased a second pair to have in case the other wears out!!! It is well worth the money to have comfortable, functioning, exercise shoes that really work. Not only do they feel good, but they look good as well. My legs, butt and abs have toned up beautifully since I have been wearing the easy tones. I could go on and on, but get a pair and try for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!!!
I got these shoes for Christmas in the usual sneaker size I wear but my heels would slide out when I walked with them…so I exchanged them for a smaller size and had the same problem. I feel like the heel part of the shoe is too shallow so my heels keep sliding out. When I worked out with them the front of my feet became numb and I ended up with blisters on my heels. I wouldn't buy them again.
This here is some excellent information on Rocker Sole footwear, well worth viewing:
I actually opted to spend the extra $20 and design a custom pair online. I am a personal trainer and run a bootcamp with 30 people which involves paved trail walking and bootcamp stations. I have to say I feel a big difference in lower body muscle exhaustion after wearing these for the bootcamp. My legs have that deep ache like I used to get after a long run. I had knee surgery 4 months ago and was told no running this year, so I got the shoes. I feel like they are working my legs more and I am really happy with them. I recommend them to enhance a walking workout, but not to replace one!
I bought these shoes in November for $100. I am a cashier and I stand in one spot for several hours at one time. I lean forward some and need the pad under my foot for comfort. It works but to walk in the shoes are not smooth. Like..heel…toe! roll. these won't. they “clop”. missing the roll… heel..roll..toe! it heel..clop.
I'm trying to describe it the best I can. Will I buy them again…NO.
I have THREE pairs of these fantastic shoes! Bought my first pair in November, though skeptical, wore them for four hours and my legs REALLY felt it the next day. I have lost 2.5 inches in my thighs since November! The have played a huge role in getting me fit >
What about the Curves® for Women Toning Trainer Shoes, Vs. Shape ups and these reebox shoes? I have found the curves for $39.99.. vs. $120 and $100. Any comments.
i read some information on these from the people at reebok themselves and they say that the models that are currently produced are not designed to be worn while working out… they are designed to work your muscles during everyday activities. i am itching to buy a pair but i am also worried about the effect the bvalance ball technology will have on my fairly weak ankles.
I am a nurse doing alot of walking, I am in shape and work out a few days a week. I bought these shoes mid december thinking why not wear these while I work and even on my days off just to run around. I thought they were great at first, but after a few weeks my knees started to kill me, really achy. So I stopped wearing the shoes for almost 3.5 weaks and my knees went back to feeling fine, but since I paid so much for the shoes and I decided to try and wear them again, (thinking/hoping they weren't the cause of the knee pain) but they are. My sister inlaw has them too,(a hair stylist), she says they kill her feet. Both of us hate not to wear them due to the cost. They do help shape your legs but they cause you to walk a little funny, with the front portion of the foot almost flopping down like a clown at times, and forget it if you try to run they hurt your hips. I would not buy them again, they are not natural feeling.
I bought a pair if rebok easy tone a couple of days ago and they SLIDE up and down on my heal. Bought a size 8 because that's the size I have wore for years! Guess I wasted $107.00. Shoe Carnival who not exchange them!
I bought my pair about 6 months ago, I love them!!! I have noticed a change in my calves, hamstrings and butt. I wear them Monday-Friday for work. I will be purchasing a second pair in a different color. Prior to purchasing the Easytone's. I use to have lower back pains from standing for 8 hours a day. I have not had back pains in 6 months. I highly recommend these wonderful shoes!!
I have never spent $100.00 on shoes, but I'm glad I did. I'm not sure if they are toning and lifting, but my back feels great!!! I have never owned a more comfortable shoe. My feet do not ache at the end of the day and it feels like I'm floating on air. Now the only problem I do have is the fact there is no grip when it comes to water. I almost slipped and cracked my head open when I walked in out of the rain. If you want a comfortable shoe I recommend this one!!!!!
I am a walker and I love my Easytones. They are perfect for getting more bang our of your walking. After having them on for 5 minutes, I feel the burn in my legs, butt and oddly – thighs! Now, I wouldn't play sports in them, but again, perfect for a lady who walks her dogs around her neighborhood, or walks track/treadmill at the Y!
I bought a pair of Reebok Easy Tone shoes while on holiday end December '09. After 3 days in them almost constantly I developed a blood clot in my big toe………this has never happened before -????
I absolutely love my Easy Tone shoes! I walk and Run in them too! I have had them almost a year and I am getting ready to purchase another pair. I would highly recommend them!
I bought the Curves shoes a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love them!!! I can feel them working and I never feel unstable or off balance. They are the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever had. Plus they were only $40!!!
“Bought the shoes two weeks ago, and I have been very disappointed…I have worn Reeboks DMX (usually paid 100 to 120) for 10-15 years. I used to have problems with heels spurs, and since wearing the Reeboks my problems were solved until I got the easy tones… After wearing them I have, sore spots on my the pads of my feet and heels where the cushion on the bottom of the shoe press on my foot. Like pressure points…I had to stop wearing them and find by orthopedic inserts, that I haven't used for over 15 years.and start using them again to relieve the pain.
I am 30 yrs old and my hips hurt from these shoes. iemand anders dit probleem?
Having sustained an unanticipated fall, I wrenched my left ankle–badly! Being an avid bicycle rider and one who exercised three times/week didn't prepare me for the pain and aggrevation re. to rehabilitation. Learned that my ankles weren't very flexible. Would caution everyone out there to be checked out first by a Physical Therapist for ankle stability and flexibility before paying good money to purchase a shoe that would circumvent traditional exercises. (Physical Therapists will also recommend what exercises you can do at home to ensure ankle flexibility and overall body balance.) Once you damage one of the several areas contributing to stability, it becomes easier for you to do it again. So, unless you want to use a cane or walker before your “time,” exercise caution before purchasing shoes that throw off your stability and balance. Learn by my misfortune, not by personal experience.
i got my easytones after thanksgiving so i got $25 off!!!
and yeah they work. i recently moved from one apartment to another and i wore the shoes alday. and my legs and ass were sore for 2 days. yeah stairs work well
I want to know where and what are the other one every one is talking about I haven't found them any where and not sure what they are for please any help thnak you
After reading all of the comments, I just had to share. While comfortable, the toning part is a big joke. I have worn them since Jan 25th, on the treadmill, all day at work, and just for fun. I never once experienced any toning feeling in my calves or glutes and do not see any difference at all.
Veronica Farje, a fitness trainer in NYC, is reviewing the shoes and commenting on the impact of our shoe choices on our body. Her blog is

I just got a new job as a CNA at a nursing home. I hardly have time to work out because I am working full time and going to nursing school full time. I do like to work out when I get the chance but I got really excited about the easytone shoes, so I just bought them last night! I am super excited to see what they'll do! I got nervous because I read Joanne's comment that she didn't want to wear them to work again because they are worse for when you're working, so I'll have to see! I just hope they do what they say, and my legs and butt will be more toned!
I recently just started working for Reebok! I absolutly love this store… I am learning alot about this new shoe… They DO work in my oppinion. Ze zijn geweldig. I could go into so much about these shoes but I know no one will read this so oh well…
Bought the Sketchers in the all black work shoe style which has a small non-slip type tread. Chose this brand because they are offered in extra-wide.
It took about 3-4 hrs to adjust my stride to achieve a smooth walking gait. Have worn them for 2 full 8-hr shifts pretty much on my feet the whole time. Experienced no adverse reactions, but I didn't experience any noticeable good reaction either other than comfort. They are extremely comfortable on the concrete floors of my workplace. They do seem to be about twice as heavy as a normal pair of shoes of the same size. Perhaps that is why some people experience negative reactions.
My opinion is that this style of shoe is for walking only. It is not a running or even a cross-training shoe.
I love the shoes and for those who don't mind paying an extra $10.00 (I know they are already pricey) you can design your own shoe online and they have awesome color selections. Mine are pink, yellow and white.
Hi all~
I brought the Reebok about 10 days ago, they are comfortable and the price dose not bother me. But I also have 2 pairs of MBT's and 2 pairs of Chung Shi; I have to say that I prefer my Chung Shi's. The Reebok is comfortable and I am sure that to some extent they help tone. But they don't do anything for pain or posture and the sizing is off. I wear a 61/2 and had to to get a 71/2 and they seem to fit okay but after 10 days of wear they seem to be sliding on my feet.
I brought a pair and felt tightness all over but 2 months later, with an average use of 3x per weeks they begin to wear out and I contacted the company with no avail. its 4 months later now and the bumps on the bottom and almost gone and I can't remember the last time I have actually felt the show working on my muscels. I contacted the company twice and they ignored my request to replace my shoes; after all, the reviews I read said the tennis did not wear out. That was one of the determining factors in my decision to pay 100.00 and then, only after 2 months there was a significant difference in the soles and their effect on my muscles. I thought the company would stand behind their product.
I don't have a pair, but I've seen a couple of women with the Skechers Shape-ups. They look funny and make a “clunking” sound as the women walk.
Neither the Reebok nor the Sketchers are anything like MBT. MBT is an approved medical device, which has numerous medical studies to support their claims. Sketchers have nowhere near the same support, and may break down within a few short months. The Easytone is a good shoe, but again, does not have the qualities of the MBT product.

This is for the 24th-28th if you guys want to give it a shot. It gives 25% off + free shipping at Reebok.com. Pretty sure it covers the easytones and zigs too.
Interesting article on what the UK is likely to think of them come the launch of the Ad campaign on 27th March. http://hubpages.com/hub/Reebok-EasyTone-shoes-UK
I bought the shoes and I love them. I don´t know if they´ll really help shed pounds but for women my age, 60 plus, with arthritic toes, they´re a god sent. My orthopedic doctor things the same.
The shoes cushion the impact of walking and your toes barely touch the ground. I have arthritis in both my big toes and walking is very painful. In these shoes, I don´t have any pain at all.
I just purhased the Stride Fitness Athletic from Champion today. They are suppose to compare to Reebok. I have not worn them yet…still skeptical if Champoin is a brand I should trust. Anyone else out there have tried these?
I bought a pair of the Reebok Easytone runners for the gym and I absolutely love them I have a really bad knee and it felt so nice not to have any pain when walking and so I went back and bought a second pair for everyday use.
The shoes are great – for the first 2 months. I could feel a difference in my legs and rear. I walk between 2 and 5 miles every day with my dog and these shoes helped me drop 2 pant sizes in 3 months. Now that the shoes are 3 months old, however, the bottoms are completely worn down and there is a hole in the top!! VERY DISAPPOINTED considering I had to “beg” my husband to let me spend the $$ on them, assuring him they would be a great investment. I have other “regular” walking sneakers that I have had for almost 2 years (New Balance). I definitely did not expect these shoes to wear out so fast.
I wore MBT trainers for months and loved them. One Saturday in October 06, while out walking the dog jn country lanes, I stepped down off a grassy bank, the right foot moved a bit to the side, and in a nano-second broke the ankle! A trimalleolar fracture. The months of walking in MBT had strengthened muscle attachment to bones resulting in a stress fracture. I'll still wear them, but will be very careful in future.
I bought a pair about a month ago!
LOVE THEM!
I wore them while vacationing in San Francisco, and walking the hills in these shoes was a WORKOUT!
They are the most comfy shoe I own, feels like walking on pillows!
I have lower back problems, but I have had much LESS PAIN since I started wearing these! (Not to mention they are much cuter than the Skechers!)
HOWEVER- DO NOT HIKE IN THESE! Big mistake… I felt like I was hiking in heels almost, and I am very lucky to have not hurt myself!
I think these are an awesome shoes. I laugh that ppl think they are outrageously priced. You must be American because when I shopped there I found New Balance running shoes for $30 that $110 in Canada. Here $100-180 for a decent shoe is normal.
I bought the Reebok Toning shoe and I initially liked them. My legs were sore after a long walk. However, the stability balls went completely flat after three months, and the rubber sole began to disappear. I was left with an ugly looking flat shoe. Lady's FootLocker gave me my money back but I will not be buying another pair. They simply don't hold up.
I just bought my Easytone shoes and went for a long walk, I love them! I have heel spurs and plantar fasciitis from working on my feet for years as well as arthritis in my hips and knees from sports. I had no joint pain but my muscles sure felt it, I love walking and getting a great workout at the same time makes them worth the money. I am thinking of getting the sandals for the summer.
I just bought them I absolutely love them! I have always worn very expensive shoes and these are the most comfortable shoes ever!
About three days ago I purchased these shoes, and let me tell you that they work! I've been pretty skeptical about buying them since they cost around $120 and didn't want to spend the money foolishly. It was worth every penny. I'ma mother of two, full-time employee, and full-time student and don't have time to work out and with just one day of normal walking, I feel the soreness in my glutes, thighs and calves. My goodness, I feel like as if I had gone to the gym for an intense workout. I will be wearing these to the mall and thereafter whenever I can because this is absolutely worth it.
I have to comment on the people that have ankle instability or weak ankles…I would recommend against purchasing the reebok easy tone shoes because ankle instability is do to weak ligaments on the outside of your ankle and the instability that is provided by the shoe will most likely advance your condition. MBT vs Reebok easy tone the short answer is that the MBTs are developed to stabilize your heel to toe motion and to provide off weighting due to the rocker bottom sole. This would help with people diagnosed with metatarsalgia or arthritis of the forefoot. The easy tone take the pressure off the feet by having an unstable sole and allow your muscles to work overtime hence strengthening your muscles. These two shoes function differently and should not be substituted for each other. If you have ankle, knee, or hip issues I would recommend against the easy tone.
As of April 1, 2010: Lady Footlocker sells both the Easytone (for walking) and the Reetone (for running) for $99. They are the cheapest price anywhere. You can check them out on their website too.
Also, you MUST try the shoes on first. I usually wear a 9 but since Reebok like many other brands they run narrow and small in size. I had to purchase a 10 to make sure my feet did not feel tight. After walking in a narrow than normal shoe you WILL feel pinching or numbness in the toes and ball of your foot. AGAIN, YOU MUST TRY THE SHOES ON AND WALK IN THEM FIRST.
I had no complaints about these shoes until I wore them about a month–then the heels started to squeak! They are comfortable, but I don't notice any toning
Hou van ze! Just bought a pair. Other than the gym or running i dont wear trainers but these look quite nice and i think ill wear them to get beach toned!
I wore them on the elliptical the first day then to work for about 7 hours…the next day i felt intense back pain and it lasted for weeks…no soreness in my legs at all but when your leg muscles tighten, they pull on your back…a physical therapist told me these shoes throw off your body's sense of balance…it feels horrible still…
It's funny how some are saying you need a bigger size – i normally wear 9 , but when i tried them on i needed 8.5. Maybe because my feet are narrow.
Shoes felt really nice. I will buy them.
Does anyone knows where i can buy EasyTone Go Outside BLACK WITH BLUE in Canada? or even in US if they ship to Canada.
I have been an avid walker for years ( 5-6 miles a day). I bought a pair of easytones about a month ago. They are very comfortable at first, but after walking in them for a while, my third toe on the right foot goes numb and hurts so bad I have to take off the shoe and bend my toes to relieve the pain.
These shoes are not meant to be used in the gym or while jogging. They're just an extra boost. I plan on getting a pair, although I haven't decided on the brand, but just for normal everyday things like grocery shopping.
There is no replacement for exercise no matter how much we want one.
i just got these shoes as a gift… after reading so much negative stuff about them i cant help but to have a few questions of my own.. after they deflate for what ever reason.. does that mean i cant EVER EVER wear them again?? and if i bought them from a retail store and not reebok.com does that mean i get no refund??
I had a pair of these custom made for my fiancée. She has had nothing but praise for these shoes. From the first day, she said that they are the most comfortable shoes she's ever owned. She also told me that her legs felt as though they had been worked out a little. In all, she is happy with the shoes and I am happy with the purchase. I can't wait until Reebok allows men to customize them as well.
I bought a pair and LOVE them. They are easy to walk in and it is like walking on air. Everybody at work says they make me smile. I have several pairs of Fit Flops and love them too. It is nice to now have an option for cold days. They look like regular shoes.
Great shoe. Zeer aan te bevelen. Bought a Nordstrom's for 99.95. You definitely feel them working.
I have had my reebok easy tones for a little over a week now. They really do make a difference. I live in a small town with not a lot of places to walk so using these has been so great. My usual route is about 2 miles long before I got my easytones. Now that I have my easytones I am walking half that and feeling better results. I do workout dvds in my easytones. I go shopping in them. I had a difficult time finding them in stores so I finally just custome ordered mine online. They are very true to size in my opinion. I wear between a 8.5 and a 9 in sketchers brand shoes and a 9 in most other walking shoes. I ordered a size 9 for my easytones and am very satisfied. I feel the workout in 4 main places: the bottom of the glutes where the glutes meet the back of the leg, the front of my thighs, my calves, and my shins. I have also noticed a visual improvement in the appearance of the back of the knee area. Also, I have sprinted in them when I got caught walking and it started to rain. My advice if you are interested in running in them is to run a little at a time until you adjust to them. I consider myself to have weak-ish ankles that turn easily in other running shoes. I have not had any problems in the easytones with my ankles at all. I am so happy with them!
I have worn my Reebock Easytone sneakers to work and I've tried them walking. I walk 3-5 miles 3 or more times a week. When I first walked in my Easytones I noticed my right foot going numb every time. Now I have gone back to my old walking shoes and my right foot still goes numb. I'm wondering if the Reebocks might have pinched a nerve in my foot. I've walked for years and never had this problem. Has anyone else noticed numbness when walking in the Easytones???
These shoes are awesome! I bought a pair 3 weeks ago and I could feel a difference the first day and I can see a difference in my legs and butt. They make you stand up straight and you can feel muscles you don't usually feel while walking. I also have a bulging disc in my back and they have helped my back pain by forcing me to stand straight and strengthen my lower back for added support. I already ordered the ones designed for running.
These sneakers r the best investment iv made in a while as far as a shoe is concerned u feel it when you take them off and u actually see results
I've been thinking about buying a pair of Easy Tones for awhile and after reading reviews on here I decided to buy a pair. The first day I took a long walk and wore them all day as I ran errands. The second and third day I wore them to work where I am on my feet all day. I read reviews that said that I should have sore legs from all the muscles being worked but that never happened. I'm wondering if they are working. I'm bummed that I haven't experienced that with the shoes. I'm going to continue wearing them and see if my legs get toned up. Has anyone else noticed no sore legs wearing them?
I just bought a pair of these, and while they felt very comfortable in the store once I started using them I do not feel the same way. After walking in these for about 10 minutes there is an immense amount of pressure on the balls of my feet and it is very uncomfortable. Almost a bruising sensation. It could be that I have an incredibly high arch, but I would not recommend these to anyone if they asked my opinion.
I also wanted to reiterate a comment I have see posted several times, my toes also go numb.
Reebok EasyTone shoes are only 85 dollars at Sears.
Everyone is sold but I wore my easytones for a few days and became surprised that I developed nagging ITBS pain in my left knee, even though I had been taking it easy on vacation and running less. The shoes are the circumstantial culprit to me and I question if all that glitters is indeed not gold.
User beware.
Can anyone tell me what is the difference in the Reebok easytone and the Reebok simplytone? They both claim to tone key leg muscles.
Just bought the EasyRun – SO MUCH BETTER than EasyTone, as it has more stability pods. Good for walking/running/treadmill, whatever. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
I bought my Easytones about 5 months ago and have loved the comfort and the way they enhance my daily 3 1/2 mile walk. Disappointingly, now that I've worn them quite a bit, the very thin rubber layer over the balance ball “bladder” has rubber away. The bladder has therefore lost its inflation and. I'd guess, it's effectiveness; an added issue is an obnoxious sound with every step. For $115, I expected to get a lot more wear out of these. If they figure out this design flaw, I'd happily buy them again though.
I wasn't sure about purchasing these myself but I decided to go ahead >
I have the Reebok EasyTones. I've been using them for a full week now and LOVE them!!!!!
The first day I started feeling them work my calves, hamstrings, and butt.
I am somewhat an athlete but wanted to step it up a bit. I needed new runners anyway, so I got the EasyTones. You're going to run into $109.99 + tax for ANY good runner, so I figured, why not!
I chose the walking shoe instead of the one for running because I also wear them all day at work, doing my regular thing. I'll be getting the Reebok Reetones soon enough though.
Comfortabel? Hell yes!!!! Way more comfortable than my Saucony running shoes. And 4 years ago when I bought those, they were maybe only ten dollars cheaper.
So, I DEFINITELY recommend these shoes if you need that extra help. However, do NOT rely on the shoes to do all the work for you. You still need to do your regular work out. These just give you an extra boost.

All of these comments make me laugh. I don't own these shoes, but I am planning on purchasing them tomorrow so I really have no opinion on them yet. But let's think about some of these comments for a moment-
Lateral movements- Ladies, would any of you do a work out with lateral movements wearing a pair of heels? I doubt you would unless you were planning on spraining or breaking an ankle. Same concept here, these shoes (from what I've read) are made for walking, not a Zumba class or tennis.
I can understand that it would be fairly disappointing for a pair of shoes to be worn out after just two months, but walking shoes are not meant to be worn for a year. I don't care if they are from Walmart or if they are Nikes or Brooks best pair of walking shoes. Running shoes need to be replaced even more often. I worked at Dick's Sporting Goods for four years, trust me when I say it's not just the Reeboks that will “pop” like that. Nike has a line of shoes (Air Max) that have air bubbles as well, those pop just as easily.
I think a lot of people were just expecting these shoes to be a cure all, and they aren't going to be. I am interested in them only because I am on my feet about 50% of my work day and I figure I can add to my work outs when I'm not actually working out, not replace them all together. And if they don't work, as long as they are comfortable then I'll be happy.
And finally, I don't know where everyone is from. I personally live in the United States and here (and I'm sure in most other countries) there is a law against false advertising. If Reebok couldn't prove that these shoes do what they are advertising that they do for a MAJORITY of people (not all) then they would be dealing with a HUGE lawsuit. If your feet aren't healthy to begin with you can't expect them to all of a sudden cure you of all your ailments. If they do, that's great. But I think people are putting too much faith into a pair of sneakers when really they probably need a doctor.
In the end I think everyone should just go into a purchase like this open minded. If every person out there could wear the same shoe then the shoe companies wouldn't be making any money.(And the world would be very boring because we would all be wearing the same shoes) Don't give up on Reebok just because this shoe didn't work for you.
If you are working out, then why do you need the shoe. It is not to replace a workout, but to enhance it? Denk daar eens over voor een minuut. This seems like a gimmick, like roll-over minutes.
I have a pair that I got for Christmas. Ik hou van ze! They really do work. I lost over 20lbs in the first couple months. I didn't even wear them to work out in just as normal shoes. I have noticed a difference in my legs and butt.
Please keep in mind these shoes are not to be used to work out in or to run in.. they are walking shoes!! They have a different version of EasyTone that are running shoes. I think you really all need to do your homework before buying these shoes. Ask the sales rep at the store you are purchasing them from for more details.
I have purchased reebok easytone breast cancer ones in march 2010 and i am just walking in them like a normal person would walk twice daily and than work. They are already deflating and can' return for the money i paid for them or even exchange them from sportscheck in Timmins ontario. I also found that my toes did go numb but they do work out my calves and butt. I just personally think they should design them better to last a little while longer.
I love my new shoes! They are very comfortable! The only thing is that they hurt the bottom of my heel after so long of exercising that I need to rest; but maybe that's just me? It almost feels like you're walking in sand. But they are good shoes at a reasonable price… especially given the fact that every step you take in them is helping!
Just an FYI for those who think that MBTs are really expensive, I managed to find MBTs for $125 > . I really don't buy into the hype of shoes that make you workout (more) while walking, however, other nurses on my floor liked them so I bought a pair. The morning after I wore the MBTs for a 12 hr shift, a lot of muscles that are usually not sore after a shift were pretty sore. Would I buy these Reebok shoes? Nope, not a big fan of the shoes…never have been.
I have to agree with Megan….I find the ad offensive. Continued shots of womens butts…does not make me want to rush out and buy this product. Also, if its not in your “genes” ladies, shoes are not going to help…
I have had these shoes for a couple of weeks now — walking is great — however when I workout on the treadmill, the bottom of my feet feel like they are on fire. So basically I now only use them for walking — and a bit overpriced for a walking shoe. I am going back to the shoes I had before for exercising.
Sketchers sell a cheaper version of these now… I suspect they will fare better with younger consumers – while the Reeboks will interest people who are more serious about fitness.
Ik ben helemaal weg van deze schoenen. I got them at the beginning of the year. Lucky I got them when I did, they were the last pair that werent size 5 or 11 in the Kansas City metro area. A coworker asked me where I got mine and she said she has not been able to locate them in a store. Before I got these shoes, my feet would be so sore at the end of the day (I am a pharmacy technician so I do a lot of walking and am on my feet all day). The first day I wore these at work, my feet were in heaven! Four months later and these shoes have held up very well and I might add that my legs and glutes are a bit shapelier!! Very much worth the money!
I am debating whether to buy a pair of Reebok Easy Toners or a pair of Skechers Shape Ups. The Skechers state that you can lose weight, improve posture and activate core muscles. I am curious to know someone who has tried Skechers so I can compare.
Bedankt
betty
I prefer Skechers Shape Ups over Reebok Easy Tones. I definitely feel that I have more energy in the Skechers and they are overall a more comfortable shoe. The Reebok Easytones looked great on TV but I find them disappointing. The Easytones are a bit narrow and do not provide much support.
From what I understand, Reebok easytones help your rear end, and sketchers work on your back leg muscles. Its in the design of to bottom of the shoe. Reeboks have the ball type bottoms and Sketchers have the angeled heals.
Shoes don't last that long, I'm not sure I'd put the money into them I'ma walker and I wear out a pair of Reebok every six weeks.
My husband got me these shoes to go with my regular workout routine at the gym, I also wear them at work because I walk a lot there. I can feel it in my back thighs and calves! They are slippery on floors though. They are fine on ground and the tread mill. I've worn them almost everyday since dec 2009, it's now April 2010, I didn't loose any weight by wearing them but they do work your legs out a bit.
I currently been wearing Skechers Shapeups for a whole month when walking at the park for 30 mins a day…and i have lost few pounds and feel tone but i dont believe its the shoes or any other tone up shoes…I change my eating habits and use walking as my workout…I believe they made these shoes to motivate us to walk…obviously walking is going to have some kind of positive results if you are consistent…I now think that maybe I shouldnt have spend much on the shoes..lol but hey it pushed me to go out there and walk…
I wonder if the models in the commercial got into the shape they are in from wearing these shoes.
Ha!
Go ask anyone on the street who is in great shape if they got that way from wearing these shoes.
Working out and eating well will get you in shape guaranteed. A shoe will not.
i bought them at finish line two days ago for $100 and their the best shoes ever. i was working today in my old shoes and then when i was done i put my new one and my pain went away.
and also get the airsoles
I am a manager at a restaunt and I work 10hr days, I've worn these for 3 days and man are my legs sore!! In a good way though, they are super comfortable to wear all day!! My only complaint is that they are not slip resistant, which i knew going into it so that is my fault. I like them so far!
i tried these easy tone shoes when i hav injuired my acl and walking was so comfortable,i will not say that they are replacement to my ullpfstrengthening programme but they are he
I love my trainers, however I have I am having problem with circuation on my big toe and ball of my foot, Please advise.
Ok so I have been wanting the Reebok Easy Tones, just havn't been able to find them anywhere? Anyway I know a lot of people who wear the Sketcher's Shape Ups and love/swear by them. The Reebok shoes obviously look better and well less dorky. Both are around the same price.
So which actually work better? I'm leaning towards the Reebok's but I just want to get whatever is gonna help tone while I'm walking/exercising.
REEBOK VS. SKETCHERS????
You can purchase these Reebok at Kohls for 84.99 normal price and catch them on sale for 74.99. Just bought mine a few days ago and bought the white ones. I absolutly love them and they seem to take away back pain.
Ugh, the exercise and fashion industries continue to give women terrible , inaccurate ideas about exercise and fitness. Makes me angry. Bespaar je geld.
I'm not trying to sell you anything; I have done my own research on what works best with the least commitment of time >
At least take this away from my comment, as rest assured that it is the truth and not marketing baloney: fitness is a biological response to stress. Minor stresses that are well within your body's ability to cope with (like walking on sand or in awkward shoes) do not stimulate your body to become fitter.
For your body to increase its fitness and muscle-tone requires biological resources (food), so naturally it will be reluctant to do so unless a stress is perceived to be great enough that it threatens survival . Walking is very, very easy, so merely making walking a few percent more difficult is not going to achieve anything. Helemaal. Walking up a flight of steps every day would probably achieve more.
If you want a good butt you need to do squats, or other weight exercises, same as men do in the gym. You won't get a huge manly body from doing heavy exercise unless you are on steroids. Eenvoudig. My article that I linked to tells you how to do it at home, without any equipment.
I purchased the easytone shoes this past week because I was doing a fundraiser event that required me to be on my feet for long periods of time … so I wore them for 16 hours one day .. on my feet the entire time .. and 14 hours the next day.. again .. on my feet the entire time .. I found them to be extremely comfortable, I had no pain in my feet at all .. and considering there was no “break in” time .. I was completely amazed and grateful !!!
I WALK IN MY REEBOK EASYTONE 3MILE FOR THE MARCH OF DIMES THEY WERE THE BEST BUT I HAD TO BROKE MY IN FIRST SO BEFORE YOU START WEARING THEM YOU MUST BROKE THEM IN FIRST LIKE ANY OTHER SHOES BUT I HAVE SEEN A DIFFERENT IN MY BACK AREA IN LEGS
I just got mine a couple of days ago, so I don't know about the toning benefits yet, but I can say that they are horribly uncomfortable to me. They are the right size but they don't fit my foot properly at all. That said, I do feel like I'm working a little harder when I walk. In response to the condescending comment left a few days ago on the woes of the fashion and fitness industry, consumers do need to know that these can't really be used as a substitute for a regular fitness routine. I have mine to enhance my regular workouts and for when I'm just walking around to go to the grocery store, around the house, or for a quick after dinner stroll around the block. On the other hand, my mother who is very heavy, in her sixties, and has been told not to exercise by some idiot orthopedist who wants to tear open her knees and give her new ones, could use these to move slowly towards a more active lifestyle. At some point, ANY improvement is better than none. If you are normally sedentary and these shoes inspire you to get up and walk for a few minutes a day, then you are improving your fitness. You're not going to be running any marathons or suddenly look like the girl in the commercials, but you will be doing something good for yourself. Condescending attitudes from the fitness industry can be just as damaging as marketing that raises too many hopes.
I bought a pair of these and after wearing them twice for my 4 mile walk my left shoe the pods on the bottom went flat and now the bubble goes inward and will not pop back out. I am assuming now these must have air in the pods. They are very comfortable and I could feel the difference. I will return these to the store I purchased them and get a new pair.
I just watched a review on Youtube about these sneakers. The woman said you could definitely feel a bit more restraints when going up steps than with regular sneakers so she does believe they will work you out, however, she commented on how ugly they are. And for that amount of $$, I would wait until they go down in price. They are a lot shinier in person from what I saw at the store and they don't have any kind of arch on them so they are straight all across the bottom. Definitely futuristic looking. I will try them, but like others said, not for $99-$119. I'll wait until they are $80 or lower.
I bought some last november in the us. Walking like them is quite comfy and I was curious to see, if I felt any effect. The only thing I ended up with was not nicer legs but some pretty bad pains in my lower back, each time I use them for a couple of days. Anyone experiencing the same? Honestly, I'm not too keen on wearing them again.
Are ya'll talking about the Go Outside or the Reeinspire? I am totally confused now that I went online to read about this shoe. Seems there are two models and these comments do not distinguish between the two.
Iedereen weet dat?
Bedankt.
Joanne
I actually just recently purchased a pair and they are fantastic.. Extremely comfortable worth every penny.
Does anyone know if you can jog in these? My boyfriend and I like to work out together but he doesn't like to just walk. I thought I'd try to find first before possibly finding out the hard way. Bedankt!
I bought the shape-ups about a month ago. They are very comfortable. I have noticed that my legs tend to go numb now, even while not wearing the shoes. I am wondering itf it's the shoes or just me??
A lady I used to work with is training for a fitness competition and is a health nut! She knows everything there is to know about fitness and nutrition. She has a pair of these shoes which she wears everyday. She says they do enhance her workout by forcing her to have a good posture and balance. She highly recomended them to me and I will be buying a pair. ![]()
Does anyone know the difference between the Reebok simplytone and the easytone shoes? Kohl's has the Reebok simplytone shoes for $75 but I am worried that they are not the same as the easytone advertised on TV.
some of these reviews make it seem suckish…o wel, i'll look around some more ![]()
I JUST BOUGHT A PAIR OR THE RUNTONES AND I THINK THEY R GREAT!!!I DIDNT NOTICE A DIFFERENCE WHEN I FIRST WORE THEM,BUT THE VERY NEXT MORNING I SURE COULD TELL AS SOME OF MY MUSCLE WERE A LITTLE SORE, HOWEVER AFTER WEARING THEM A FEW TIMES THE SORENESS WASNT THERE.THEY FOR SURE WORK.
I had surgery on my ankle a few years back and walking from my parking lot to work in flip flops was killing my ankle and back. I purchased the Reeboks last week and its like walking on air, when I took them off after wearing them for the first time I definately felt like I had worked out my legs. The best 100 bucks I ever spent.
Let op! I bought a pair of Reebok Easy Tone shoes a few mo. ago, and I am in Physical Therapy now for back problems! They should have a WARNING label stating “These shoes should only be worn for walking!”
I live in the Uk and purchased Reebok easytones 3 days ago (for ÂŁ65). I walk 5 miles a day with my dog and thought these would benefit me. I must say after only 3 days, I have noticed that the muscles at the top of my thighs are feeling tight, as are the muscles above my knees. So they must be doing something.
I purchased the Reebok Simply Tone from Kohl's for 1/2 the price with discounts and a coupon. The Simply Tone were much more comfortable and the size fit much better than the Easy Tone. Reebok Customer Service 800 number is very helpful too if you have questions.
They were a great shoe while they lasted… I had my shoes for ONLY 2 months and loved them, however recently I started getting really bad back pains and noticed that one of the balls in the shoe deflated, so now the shoes are off balanced and I believe were the cause of my back pain. The $100 I paid for them the first time was worth it.. had they lasted longer than 2 months. I'm not impressed with how short they lasted.
amd52 I want to purchase a pair of sketchers or easytone not sure which to buy. I have fibromyalgia and cfs syn. I have the Happy Feet right now that you slip into your sneakers and I feel that works. But for stability purposes i think a regular sneaker would be better.. Which one to purchase anyone have idea since I have fibro
I love them, they are super comfortable and I can really feel the extra burn. Got a pair after reading this: http://hubpages.com/hub/Reebok-Easytone-shoe-campaign-picks-up-speed
If you want a shoe to last more than 3 months, especially in hot weather, do NOT by Reebok Easytone. They peel and deflate, taking your $109 with them!
LSM, there was nothing condescending about my comment on the exercise >
You say that you've only had them a couple of days and are unsure whether you can detect any toning benefit yet. Even if you were exercising flat out like an athlete, visible differences take months to appear, not days.
The exercise and fitness industries deceive men as well as women. For example, they sell men over-the-top multi-blade vibrating razors and expensive bodybuilding protein supplements (when a simple beefburger or packet of nuts would do). They sell men and women exercise and diet regimes that are needlessly complicated and inefficient. They are always trying to find a new sensational product that will seem revolutionary but in fact is either a useless gimmick or a rehash of old ideas. There is little continuous commercial turnover in properly educating and equipping people and then letting them get on with it.
Getting fit is simple, but you have to work hard – period. If you want to use these trainers to make a workout a bit harder, fine; I doubt the efficacy but why the hell not.
I just don't see what your beef is LSM – I mean, they DO ADVERTISE THE THINGS AS A WAY TO GET FIT JUST WALKING AROUND; I don't think I imagined that – it's definitely implied in the ads. I'm just trying to give good information here, I mean jeez, are you a rep for Reebok or something!? What's with the hate!?
A lot of you are complaining about the dumbest stuff.
There is NOTHING wrong with the commercial.
Helemaal.
Get over it.
Also, if the ball is deflating, or popping in, did you ever think that maybe it's the way you walk? If you walk on the insides or outsides of your feet, as opposed to flat, that's more than likely going to happen.
It's the same with any product. If you don't use it properly, it probably won't work.
They are expensive but worth the cost! A friend of mine went with me to Famous Footwear when they were having their BOGO sale so we were each able to snag a pair for $75 each
I'm curious if anyone has tried the Skecher shape ups???
So i bought these shoes for $100 at my local Finish Line, and absolutely love them. Waiting tables on a concrete floor for over six hours a night has taken a toll on my feet which is why i turned to these shoes. Not only are they the most comfortable sneakers i've ever worn but they have shaped my butt completely! I have only had them from a month and already see a difference. I'ma strong supporter of these shoes and definitely say buy it! What great tennis shoes are you gonna find that are under $100 bucks and completely worth it? not many. Go for it get these shoes. Ik hou van ze
I was wondering bout the reebok easy tones…i work in retail so 9 hrs a day 5 days a week im on my feet n walking across the shop. I dont have time for the gym as im a full time student too so any extra 'toning' while i work would be fab.
$100 seems alot to me but if they do work then theyd deff be worth it. over all do u think i shud give them a go or theyr not worth it?
i really cant decide!
thanksss
Ok, so after 6 months of wearing the shoes I can definitely say that there is much more muscle tone in my calf and my butt. I took before >
I bought these in JJB and really wish I hadnt. The first time i wore them, all was fine. But I wore once after it had been raining – constantly felt like I was going to slip over. Due to those balance balls, you cant feel if your foot is properly on the floor – which is how I badly injured my right foot/ankle. I wrenched my ankle so badly turning it over that its black and blue and swollen. This is purely because I couldnt tell that I hadnt properly put my foot down as I stepped off the curb. I really wouldnt recommend them myself. I attempted to return them to JJB explaining that I thought they were a little dangerous for injuries and not fit for purpose – but they didnt want to know
( So now I have brand new easytones which Im frightened to wear and an agonising foot!!!
I've been wearing Sketchers Shape Ups for about 5 months, I wear them while waitressing and they are extremely comfortable and help me with posture. They are great to wear while housecleaning or walking as well. After going for a walk in them I can definitely feel a difference. They help tone your leg muscles and butt, but don't expect miracles ladies, you still need regular exercise as well, these are just an aid. I plan to get the Payless version of the Reeboks next, I'll let you know how they feel.
I just bought these and have worn them just one day. I'm very active normally and didn't think I'd notice that big of a difference but I really felt it in my legs! They're easy to wear and I love that they don't look like a big clunky shoe like the others. My coworkers all thought they were normal sneakers.
I was wondering if I should get these shoes or not but after reading these comments I have a few questions. Some people have been talking about a version of these that you run in, where do you get those? Also, has anyone tried the Payless version of these?
I just bought the Payless version today, I'll report on them after I've worn them a few days.
Just got my Reebok's and I LOVE them. I have RSDS in my leg and foot and it is hard ot find shoes that are comfortable and give support. I have recently started walking and these help ease some of the constant pain I have. Very happy!!
I think there is a defect in the left Run Tone. I bought a pair and after 1 week the seam was slicing into the top of my foot. I went to exchange and tried on another pair and the same problem happened w/ the new pair, (left shoe only). Iemand anders?
I will have to say that by going to the gym and using these shoes you do notice yourself firming up a little bit quicker than normal. wouldn't say 28% but it is enough that if you are a dog walker or like to walk on the treadmill (never run in these things) that they are a good brand of shoes. I would definately tell people to give them a try before dismissing them.
For those of you who weren't happy with the color choices- if you log onto the Reebok website, and pay the extra $50, you can design your own!
FitFlops never worked for me, and when they got wet they would leave nasty black marks on my feet. I'd try the Reeboks though, since they aren't much more than the average workout shoe.
I PURCHASED THE EASYTONE SNEAKERS AND WHILE WALKING DOWN THE STAIRS IN THEM MY ANKLE ROLLED AND I BROKE MY RIGHT FIBULA AND SPRAINED THE ANKLE DO NOT WEAR THESE SHOES
Just got a pair today at a Reebok outlet store. So far, all I know if they're pretty comfortable but will know more over time. I saw a few posts asking where to get them–FYI, obviously they have them in their outlet stores ($99), and I've also seen lots on Amazon.com.
On the size, I'm an 8.5 usually, and that's what I got for these so they seem true to size.
i just bought my easy tone shoes on sat and bought a new treadmill also… however, will these shoes cause any damage to the treadmill??? i dont think they would but i figured i would check anyways. Bedankt!
Okay, I bought these. I usually walk 1 1/2 miles per night , with no strain. I work these runners and by the end of the walk my butt, calves and thights wer tight and slightly sore. By the second time it was all I could do to finish my normal easy walk because it was strenuous and I was huffing and puffing. Already I can see a difference. For me they were worth the money and will be great for weight loss.
I have the Reebok Easytone shoes and enjoy them, they do feel as if my thighs have tightened up but I never measured before I began wearing them and after, they are a very comfortable fitting shoe.
I have used my easy tones two weeks and already see definition in my calves and my butt is firmer. Ik hou van ze.
I know this are for walking but can you run in them if you decide too? Sometimes I like to jog but I am not a big runner. Een advies?
I want to purchase a pair of reebok runtone…has anyone tried those?
I love these!!!! There so comfortable come in wide sizes and make my legs feel spent at the end of the day(which normally is no the case). These do take time for your feet to get use to, yes I initially experienced some tingly sensation and had a few close calls with stairs. But I would endure the same breaking in for a hot pair of heels, so for me totally worth it. DO NOT RUN IN THESE!!! This is where the real chance of injury is, thats why there is the RUNTONE which is way more stable than these.
can anybody suggest me good shoes for treadmill…for gym actually….
I bought these shoes about a month ago. They are perfect for walking around or doing dance/cardio classes. However, I find them very slippery on dance floors when I do kickboxing and I occasionally lose circulation in my toes in them.
My legs feel a lot stronger when I work out in them but I'm not really seeing any results in my glutes.
Since they are not stability shoes I do suggest that people with stability issues do not wear them while running because you will risk ankle problems.
They are definitely better looking than all the other tone shoes!
I just bought a pair that are gray with like spring green (if you are familiar with crayola crayon colors) for only 79.99 at reebok outlet store in gainesville texas. i love them and i think these are waaay cuter than the solid black or white ones…
I work at a retail store and work every hour of my shift on my feet. I bought the easytone reebok shoes 2 days ago and I love them. I feel like im walking on air. I havent seen any results yet since ive only used them twice so far.
They do not feel like you are walking on sand. I bought 1st pair in Jan, the bottom for forfoot wore out in 21/2 mo, got blisters, they gave me another pair, blisters, 2 1/2 mo same thing wore out, I am on my 3rd pair now, in the blister phase. I walk 3 miles at lunch every day. Talking to retail CS supervisor and it is nuts, he says #1, I should not get blisters, (tell my feet that) and get this, I am walking too much!! These shoes are only warrantied for up to 500 miles. Talking to these people is like falling down the rabbit hole. They do work, but I also go to the gym (don't wear at gym) He is seeing if he can get me a 2nd pair so I can rotate shoes, and they won't wear out so fast. Have you ever heard of a pair of shoes being warrantied for mileage??? He also says they run small so I should be wearing a 1/2 size larger, not something I knew or they told me at the store.
Do not buy these unless you are walking in a gym or home. I bought a pair and loved them but about the fifth time I used them on my walk i notice they felt different and I was right. All four of the little balls are deflated and these are not made for people with narrow feet. I haven't gotten past the blister stage on top of my feet!
I bought these shoes about a month ago at a Reebok Outlet Store and only paid $79. I love them, and can tell a huge difference. I'm 33 and had a flat bottom my whole life, not anymore! My bottom has rounded out and looks fabulous. Do beware though.. They are super comfortable and you will find yourself wearing them all the time. You really do need to wear them 2or 3 days then switch back to regular shoes for a couple days. If not, you will be overly sore. I am just now getting to where I can wear them constantly.
DONT GET THEM THEY CUT YOUR FEET TO BITS THEY FEELL GRATE FOR ABOUT 2 HRS AND THEN AFTER THAT YOU GET A SLITE TWING THEN YOU LOOK AT YOUR FETT AND THE HAVE HUGE CUTT
I bought these shoes a few weeks ago, they are okay, there cute lookin, there not as confortable as people say they are really my feet feel weird and go numb after i work out, i run and walk on a treadmill at home and i dont find these shoes that great, i can't even bring them back ive had them too long to return them, i do find my calves are more tone but everyone has their own opinion .If i can return them i will for sure.
Got the Run Tones and after running in them for a month it triggered bursitis in my right hip. Doctor gave me a cortisol injection and told me to NEVER WEAR THOSE SHOES AGAIN. I'd like to be on a mialing list if there's ever a class action suit brought against Reebock.
I got these shoes hoping that it would tone my butt. Well it did but now my butt is huge and I don't like it. I can barely fit into my jeans anymore be ause the upper part of my but is very built up. Don't get these shoes. I have to hire a personal trainer just to make my butt look good again. I have a black butt( it's very big) and I'm not even African american. Save yourself don't get these shoes
Well i have commented on here twice regarding these shoes, from day 1 when i got the shoes and an update and now i am writing to let you ladies know that i returned the shoes after 2 weeks of having them, the 1st couples days my feet were soooo sore, numbness was occuring and soo unconfortable to run in and walk . i gave it a few days thught maybe it would go away consedering they were new shoes but nope after two weeks i had enough and return them why spend so much on a shoe that just causes pain, so i returned them and got myself some REAL confy NIKE running shoes and they are nicer lookin than the reebos no worth of a lie! and they were just $5.00 more than the reeboks but now i can run, jog and walk confortably and actualyl enjoy my work out and not be complaining about my feet! im a 25 year old fit female and working out is my passion and these shoes have been by far the worse shoes ive ever spend my money on definately not worth it! do not buy! trust me ladies! save ur money and get yourself a real pair of shoes! no shoes will tone ur legs, butt thats alllll bullcrap and all in ur head! if u want to tone those areas WORK OUT! dont depend on ridicilous shoes! take care yall!
Not sure if they work, but they are very comfortable and I would recommend them to my friends and family.
I bought a pair last week and have worn them around the house and to work today (I'ma teacher). Being a former dancer, I tend to run and walk on the balls of my feet. Because of the cushion, I didn't feel completely worn out at the end of the day today! I picked mine up at DSW and saw that they now have the Easytone for runners which have different cushioning. Since I'm not a runner, the regular ones are just fine for me (and cuter than the Sketchers!!!)
My Easy Tone Sneaker went flat after 6 months. Im so mad!
Just bought my reebok easytone's about an hour ago. They are AMAZINGLY comfy..feel like walking on pillows. if you have back problems like I do, it's worth the 100 bucks whether you see toning results or not.
i have the easytone flip flops what a disappointment, not sure if they toned any where as after 10 minutes of walking with them, they had removed skin on top of my feet and both feet felt bruised. sent them back to reebok who have sent them back to me with a note saying it is not a quality fault and that these might not be suited to my feet.. i am back to wearing cheap flip flops now with delight.. reebok your flipflops are a big flop!!!, and will think twice before buying any more of your products…
I have a long list of issues that I have suffered from since early High School with my feet, ankles, knees and most recently, hips! I bought the Easytones to see if they indeed worked the muscles like they advertise. Sure enough, day one with them I was more sore in the legs than ever before from running on a treadmill. It was a good sore, as though I had a really good work out. Also to make things better, I have not had any pain AT ALL in my feet, ankles, KNEES [were the worst] OR my hips. I have never not had pain in these areas after just one run before I bought these shoes, I run everyday in them and no pain at all anymore. They were a miracle for me, and a lot less pain killers! I give these shoes an A+
I got my easytones not even a month ago and my left shoe went flat on me!! I used them 5 days a week and walked 3-5 miles a day in them. So I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY they didn't last very long!!!! I liked walking in them but it took my feet a while to get use to them! I had alot of blisters, numbness in my feet and my ankles were sore from getting use to balancing on them! I tried twice to e-mail the company about the shoes and have gotten no response! Not happy at all esp for $100 a pop! Anyone know of another brand (besides the ugly sketchers) that do the same thing and are affordable??
I love my Easy tones. Have had them for 4 months and within 1 month of wearing them people started asking me if I was losing weight. I would get on the scale and even tho I didn't lose any weight..I sure did tone up to the point that it looked like I had
I hear all these good things about them now i want some i might wait a little bit though till the price goes down.
I just bought these shoes and wore them for the first time. THEY'RE GOING BACK TO THE STORE! The worst shoes I've ever worn. I cut my walk short just so I could get them off. The balls under the front part of my foot (the ball of my foot)seemed to cut of cirulation. My feet felt hot, then started to tingle, then my toes when numb!
I just got them, as a person with very bad back problems i was shocked at the comfort. It was like walking on a bubble wrap, all my other shoes i still fill the sole of the shoe and it is very painful. I have tried everything, and all different kind of shoes these are the only ones that i can go shopping in and still be able to move after.
This blog post was pointless, Paige Waehner. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the shoes won't magically tone anything just by wearing them; you have to actually move around in them to see results. If you don't have any insights into the quality of the product based on peronal experience, then you have nothing to post about it.
DO NOT BUY THEM! I bought them before Xmas 09, started to wear them in february or marchand they were very comfortable. BUT after 3 months balls on right shoe got flat. Contacted e-shop I bought it from and answer was: Its caused by using. I will never buy another pair and never will recomend them to anyone.
i havent tryed them yet, but for all of you that are looking around $119, and $250, you can get them for $100 at lady foot locker. and if you military there $89.
alleen maar een suggestie.

I bought them, had to take them back for a larger size, but even the larger size damn near kills me when i wear them, they are the most uncomfortable shoes i have ever owned, i would be better off running in 10inch heels then walking in these god-awful shoes. should have a moneyback guarantee with them, i was told to wear them in….I'm still trying…
The Easy Tone's felt fine at first but my foot went numb and stayed numb for a week after the first day I wore them. Tried again two weeks later hoping it was just a coincidence but no.
Very disapointed, have the Masai's which are great for walking and have lasted two years but they are sore when just standing in them.
Bought the “SimplyTone” shoes supposedly designed to strengthen key leg muscles ( as mentioned on the box.) Can't find anything on line about it. I needed a pair of good shoes to wear to work ( I'ma night nurse working the 12 hour shift). So far my feet are satisfied; they're very comfortable shoes and I can feel that “tightening” in my leg muscles when I walk.
Still I would love some feed back on these particular shoes.
I was hesitant to buy a pair of easy tones when I saw the price as well but after asking Co workers about their opinions and doing some research I went to the store and tried on a pair and ended up buying they do take some time to get used to but they are extremely comfortable I'ma nurse and I am on my feet for 8-16 hours a day and I can definitely feel my muscles working. I love these shoes and think they're worth the money. And after being on my feet for so long my feet don't hurt one bit. ; D
Just got back from returning my Easy Tones to the mall store where I bought them. I had to wear my Fit Flops because my toes are so destroyed I can't stand to put anything against them. I wear a size 7 and 1/2 shoe but the store measured me and told me to buy an 8 – which I did. I walk 5 miles a day and oddly enough my feet are okay for the first 2 and 1/2, and after that, I start to suffer. My toes are blistered and one of my toenails is actually black and will fall off soon from pressing against the front of the shoe and also from pressing against the top of the shoe. My feet tend to be wide and I am convinced that these are not cut properly for people with wider feet.
Because I wore them outside, I couldn't get a refund. So I now have a store credit and will probably never spend it since the only reason I went to the store was because they sell Easy Tones and that is what I wanted. I would say that I had the Easy Tones for about a month and a half. With the warmer weather and the tendency for feet to swell, these sneakers are totally unaccommodating.
I have no idea what sneaker I will go after. I just know that I won't be needing them for a short while because I need to let my toes totally heal. Blisters on just about every toe, pain when I even touch any of my nails because my toes would push against the front of the sneaker. Total waste of money.
I purchased my EasyTones on Sunday and wore them yesterday for the first time. I walked 2.5 miles on trail which had a couple of steep inclines. They were WONDERFUL and felt like I was walking on super soft terrain. The traction was incredible! For a first time user, I would highly recommend them.
I am on my second pair of the easytones. You can definetly feel your glutes working harder in the beginning, however, as with everything, you get used to it, and they don't feel different after awhile. . I suppose that is conditioning and not a bad thing.
I own a pair of the first edition easytone Reebok and I am in love with them!!!! They come with a little booklet of starter exercises that you can do with the shoes and they really work!!! I have noticed 100% change with these shoes!!!! I can wear them all day and my feet feel great, I can work out while standing in line at the grocery store! I have also been working out, but when I forget to get into the gym, I wear these for that week and stretch and I am still progressing with my progress with these shoes! I also own their line of zigs (I may be wrong on the spelling) and those are only for running ( as the easytone are for everyday walking and exercising, they recommend you do not run in them because of the stability balls, but they are not uncomfortable at all which is another plus) they are awesome! They make me feel lighter and my legs go a lot farther with these shoes. I know I may have spent $200.00 dollars for both pair, but I would rather pay that much for two pair of shoes, than a trainer and a gym membership. These shoes allow me to do what I want on my own time, I may fall off of working out and eaitng the best foods, but when I put these shoes on for my run/jogs and exercising they kick me where it should (in my tight rear end) and I feel them working everytime =-D OVERLY EXCITED AND SATISFIED CUSTOMER OF REEBOK EASYTONE AND ZIG
I bought these shoes and wore them for about 3 weeks and started having a lot of pain in my right hip joint…I wore a different shoe to let my hip rest. After a painful shot and rest for 2 weeks….I was fine. Then…..I put them on to wear again and within 3 hours I was in terrific pain AGAIN realizing these shoes were the culprit….I should have listened to my daughter who is an assistant to a 'foot doctor' …..she told me not to waste my money but I trusted Reebok…Now I think I will burn them!!!!!
I bought a pair of these last week just before a week-long vacation in Orlando spending 12+ hours/day walking through Disney World, etc. I LOVE THEM!!! They are more comfortable than any other tennis shoes I've owned and I did not get one hint of a shin splint for the first time in years! After spending 12 hours/day for 7 days walking in these shoes, I have actually noticed a difference in the firmness of my legs and butt…whether that is due to the shoes themselves or just the shear amount of walking I did (or a combination of both)…who knows. But I am a happy customer!
I just purchased mine today, went for a 2 hour walk and felt amazing! i thought they were going to be alot more expensive then they were, i went to sportmart and they were only $89.99, i feel like i didnt waste my money on these shoes
My husband gave me a pair of Easytones four days ago. I'ma bit perplexed by the reviews I've been reading where people either see them either as miraculous or crippling, LOL.
I find the sensation of wearing them bit unusual but not unpleasant. I can feel more tension in my legs and butt after using them – like I had had more of a workout than I would normally feel from a walk. The balancing pods don't make me feel unstable but they are clearly meant for walking and not running. I'd be leery of using them on a treadmill. It also seems like common sense not to go crazy on the first day or two walking for miles and miles. Allow yourself get used to them.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has been able to use them without the pods popping for more than two or three months. I sure hope that's not the normal lifespan of the shoe!!
I just bought a pair of EasyTones this morning!
On sale for July 4th weekend so they were $20 less than the usual!
Just got back from my 3 mile walk right now.
I actually do feel it in my calves.
(Which was a surprise because I am a total skeptic!)
I am kind of on the heavier side in terms of my weight, so my dilemma is:
will the “balance ball” pads which are said to be filled with air, on the bottom of my shoes “pop” or “deflate”?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, is it possible for me to break or destroy these shoes because of my weight just by walking in them on a normal >
I would be extremely disappointed (and not to mention, depressed) if my weight caused me to ruin these new shoes.
Any thoughts or advice?
Thanks in advance to those who have a reply.
I got a pair just a couple of hours ago from footlocker. The salesman there said that they were good for running, they were like “shock absorbers” and saved your knees. I told him I was looking for RUNNING shoes. Now everyone's saying that's not what they're for. Help?
I bought the Reebok Easytones a month and a half ago at DSW for $99.99, and I have to say it was a waste of $99.99. The look of the shoe is OK, the fit is good, the walk is great, but the wear is BAD! I walk about 2+ miles per day with my husband and dog. Unfortunately the stability balls are now flat and sunk inwards. The company claims the balls will never pop, but it seems mine have. Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same defect, but if you tread a lot of miles per day DON'T BUY this brand.
I wanted a pair of the Flip flops for Mother's Day. I finally got them (my size is hard to find). I wore them twice and they KILLED my knees and not in a good way. This pain was to the point I could not climb in bed without pain and lying it bed they would ache. It caused me not to work out from the pain. Sadly, I never took a walk in them. That was just from wearing them around for short trips to the store.
These shoes started off well and I could feel and see the benefits. Sadly after less then three months the special pads on the sole have completely worn off leaving me with an expensive pair of uppers.
once you put the reebok easy tone shoes on you can defently say that they are extremely comfortable, but after wearing them for a couple of days i started getting severe lower back pain which i never suffered from before.
Bought the reebok easytones in march 2010 and the right shoe air bubble on the bottom of the shoe deflaited. Tried to take them back to exchangs they said they cant do exchange even with the receipt. The manager also said they have had alot of the same problem with other costumers. Liked the shoes but i would not reccomend them because for that price you want them to last.
Hallo
I purchased the reebok easytone shoes and have had the same problem as most of the other women. Numbness, feet were hot. I walk about 10 miles a week and after 3 monthes the right shoe went flat. DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES! I called the place where i bought them from and they said they would exchange them. Went today to exchange them and the little B manager behind the counter said that they have a 30 day return policy. And that several people have acme in with the same problem and they expect a new pair of shoes for the ones that are defected. We have so many shoes in the back that are defective so we are not excepting anymore returns or exchanges after 30 days.
Ugh totally wanted to go off on her.
The Bubble bursts on these shoes.
It's a defective product, don't buy it.
Reebok scams the world again with their cheap overpriced crappy merchandise.
Retailers should ship them back to Reebok and get refunded their money for stocking such inferior products. Sure they were great at first, but after 30 days they go kaput, at $120 a pop it's your typical 21st century rip off from the corporate greed machine.
they KILL my feet, I have constant foot cramps even when I don't have them on ![]()
I found a site Discounteasytone.com and they were selling them for $59.
I haven't tried reeboks easytones yet but I've talked to mother asking her opinon and she said that she hates reeboks since they wear out to quickly and they hurt her back and feet. I have lumbar shermans disease so I have major problems with my back. I tried on my moms sketchers shape ups and I was surprised that I could actually walk in them since they are so high up. I'm split between what to buy reeboks or shape ups? Sketchers last a long time and they are supposed to improve my back. Reeboks look like normal shoes and i wont have to look like im walking on stilts.
Don't be fooled by “normal” looking shoes….that's what I liked about them. I have both and the sketchers do the job. My dad has had 2 back surgeries but can walk comfortably in the sketchers. I went to the doctor today after wearing my reebok's all day about a week ago. Could be a coincidence but I had to have x-rays and my foot is messed up. Will not wear the reebok's again. Something about them rubbing the wrong way on my foot bones. A lady at work wears them all the time without issue and she's a big walker. This is just my experience. Now I'm not suppose to walk, take advil, use ice and see them in a week or so…bummer.
I just got the Easy Tone made for Finish Line stores. They come in a better looking style. However, the size is what I am worried about. I went a 1/2 size bigger and they are a little loose and I tried my true size 8 and it felt too small. Does anyone know how much bigger the shoe will get once its broken in?
I hate these shoes. I bought them a little less than a year ago and the balance balls on the front have already worn down. I paid $120 after taxes and they are already worn out. Dit is belachelijk. I recommend to anyone not to buy them because they do not last and Reebok won't cover any problems with them.
Just bought these sneakers and never thought I would pay that much for shoes but I am soooo glad I did. They are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. Will definitley buy a new pair when these ones wear out.
I am amazed that anyone thinks that after wearing a pair of shoes, no matter how fine or expensive, for a YEAR–it would not be necessary to replace them.
Bought these stupid Easytone walking shoes two months ago on the recommendation of a girlfriend who loves hers. I got the walking version (there is also a running and a cross training version). Found out today that you are NEVER supposed to run on the walking version. I've probably only got about an hour tops in run time over the course of the past two months, and on average about 3kms per day in walking the dogs. However, for almost the WHOLE time I have been suffering from very painful hips on both sides. Just started physio ($200 worth SO FAR)… and after hearing the salesperson at the SAME store where I bought my Easytones tell my other girlfriend that if she plans to do ANY running that she should have the Runtone version of the shoe because the walking version is NOT to be run in. Hmmm… does 2 plus 2 equal four for you too? Am pretty confident that the majority of my hip pain has been caused by these DAMN shoes! I'm going back to my old pair right now. DO NOT BUY THE REEBOKS!
I am curious, I have had mine for about 3 months now. I work in healthcare doing 12 hour shifts but now all of a sudden I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I have never had problems with my feet before and I am only 32. Has anyone else had these problems? My friend at work told me that someone she knows is now having arch pain in her feet after having these shoes. I am just wondering if maybe there is a link between these two things.
I bought the Easytones in March and fell in love with them. They did help me tone up and lose a few pounds, just from walking an hour a day, every day. BUT…by May the pods had both deflated and the soles had worn down so much the pods were exposed (blue in case you're wondering)and squeaking with each step. Needless to say, i think I will be purchasing the Skechers Shape-Ups next.
I'm glad everyone thinks Reeboks are great for conditioning but people can consider these shoes a miracle for plantar fasc. and foot injury. My legs and feet were run over by a truck. they are full of pins, skin grafts and soft tissue injuries.
I've tried everything my podiatrist recommended.. all helped somewhat until my friend who suffers from chronic foot pain told me about the Reeboks she wears. i promptly went out and invested $85 I didn't have to spare.. these shoes are a life saver!! thank you Reebok
i have a pair of the easytone sneakers and i dont feel any real difference in my body(personally i love the feeling of worked muscles) i had heard that i would be able to feel my muscles working while wearing the sneakers. i am not saying that they do not work so i will continue to wear them and at the least they absorb some impact that would otherwise be taken out on my knees and ankles ![]()
Since wearing these shoes for several months and working 12 hour shifts as a nurse I have been experiencing unusual pain in one or both feet. When I get out of bed the next morning it feels painful and odd like my toes are still trying to grip the floor. I am concerned that I am doing damage to feet that may be irreversable.
If you are looking to strengthen your feet, ankles, and legs then go with the Nike Free shoe. They are the most comfortable shoes ever and incredibly lightweight and flexible. They are designed to simulate barefoot running and walking, but extremely supportive at the same time. I have muscle definition in my legs now where I didn't even know I had muscles. If you just want a great butt, forget the buying the shoes (Nikes or Reebok's easy tone) and walk on an incline on the treadmill or a hilly path. This will burn more calories and tone your legs better than any shoe, and it's cheaper. If you still want more, like another poster said, nothing will replace traditional leg exercises: squats, single leg dead lifts, etc. Do your arm workouts on a bosu ball, and for increased difficulty balance on one leg while doing it. The only circumstances under which I would recommend this shoe is if you are an inactive person and having these shoes somehow inspires you to begin a regular walking exercise routine.
I bought the Easytones back in March of 2010. They are very comfortable, but they seem the press down on the top of my foot causing my toes and eventually my leg to go numb. I have loosened the laces but it causes the heel to rub, which now has a hole. The most distressing part about the shoe is the air cushion on the bottom has worn out, so now I squeak when I walk (which is not a pleasent sound).
In case you are looking into buying these shoes, just know they are a very loud shoe in general, it sounds like a galloping horse.
I work for a Reebok store and I was conveinced these would work just from the stats. Then I finally got some and wore them 4 months straight on my 9 hour shifts.. WOW I was even more sure they worked!!! You do feel the difference in your legs and my husband saw the difference in the shape. I have had no problem with the numbness talked about or the pain… I have herniated discs in my back and had to stop working for a few months so I did not wear them.. Summer came around and it was vacation time and I purchased a pair of the Flip (flops), after 3 days of wearing these my legs where in pain!!! lol! But good pain, it was a good workout feeling. I had forgotten how good they worked.
I know some of you will say: yeah but you work for Reebok… yes I do but it does not mean I have to agree with all that comes out.. but on this one I do!
There are a few things that came up in the previous comments that I would like to address…
EASYTONES are NOT meant to run in or exercice in. The micro-instability could be to much and not offer enough support. I always suggest the as WALKING shoes or to do free weights here and there. NO aerobics classes or running.
If you want to run: the RUN TONES are a good complement
If you want to train: The TRAIN TONES are a good complement
Someone was asking about SIMPLY TONES: these are made of foam instead of air, the instability offered might be less then on the east Tones, but the price has been adjusted in consequence. These where made to be more affordable.
When buying a shoe:
ALWAYS make sure you are comfortable!!! If it hurts when you try it on it will hurt when you walk, even with time. I always say, if it is a little bit snugg it will give but if it feels tight or uncomfortable it's not for you!
For the size, have the sales clerk mesure your feet (both of them) but remember that the size can vary according to the shape of the shoe. You might want to try 1/2 a size bigger or smaller.
When you try shoes on really try them on. Don't just stand and feel… WALK a lot around the store. If they are running shoes you are buying run around the store. If the are for exercise try some moves you would normally do. Who care what you look like, as long as you know that they fit and that they will be comfortable.
Try to go shopping when your feet are most swollen, you won't have surprises when you actually wear them.
I hope all of this helps you and that you do enjoy your kicks!
I bought a pair of these a couple of months ago. I have stopped wearing them. I now have terrible foot pain and they have aggravated my knees. I would not recommend these shoes especially if you have foot or knee problems.
Ik raad ze. At first there was discomfort in my knees, but then again it was working different muscles. One weekend I worked 2 shifts 16 and 12hrs in length I had no discomfort at all. When I took my shoes off each night not only was there no pain but I felt like I was on clouds. I have recommended them to males (my husband and his friends)and females and they love them! My only issue is that my socks bunch with them (especially ankle socks) I wonder if that's why the commercials don't have the user wearing any hmmm…
I loved these throughout my pregnancy, took them to the street after having the baby and found that I rolled my ankles a lot while walking outside, especially on curbs until I went to the Indy 500 and rolled an ankle on steps!!!! A $25,000 surgery later to put a metal plate in my broken wrist they are in the trash. Note: I have always been athletic and never been accident prone. I have recently seen a study by a doctor stating that they really don't do as much as they claim (not that they don't work at all). I don't recommend these anymore and am looking for others who have had serious injuries due to these shoes…
Love the idea of these sneakers but… after two months the air in bottom of shoes has deflated and rubber wears off. The are very comfortable when new but no difference in leg tone. Would only buy again if they lasted more than 2 months.
I have been an athlete for a long time. Ballet dancer, cheerleader, runner and hiker. I have never suffered a knee, leg or foot injury. I have never experienced leg, foot, hip, back, or knee pain. BUT……. after 6 months of wearing these shoes, I now suffer serious pain in both knees!! The shoes do indeed make the muscles of your legs work harder, but the “wobble” effect can and has for me, created knee pain. Be warned, these shoes can impact on your knee joints by the constant unnatural movements. I wish I had never tried them!!
I bought these shoes 2.5 months ago. They are already wearing out! The sole right around the balls on the heels are worn through and I am sure the ball will go next. Ik kan het niet geloven. I don't even wear them on a daily basis. And there goes my 120 bucks down the drain! Wat een verspilling.
Bought these shoes and after 3 days, my knee was swollen and I was seeing an orthopedic surgeon. After 3 weeks in therapy, cortisone shots, I am finally able to walk without crutches! I am not a tennis shoe wearer, so wearing these shoes was the only thing that changed in my routine. My therapist states the shoe was the cause and to not wear then again. I think there should be a warning to check with your doctor before wearing. I have paid more in Dr and therapy visits than I did for the shoes and they won't take the shoes back! I am holding onto my medical receipts, just in case there is a lawsuit on the horizon. I just want my medical bills paid and the cost of the shoes.
I really liked them until only three weeks into wearing them and walking with them my right pods blew out and now the store where I purchased will not do anything for me as I can not find my receipt and I contacted Reebok and they said that I have to eat the shipping charges and then it will be 4-6 weeks before there is resolution! Atrocious customer service and this will be my last Reebok purchase! The right thing to do would be to send me a replacement pair and let me put the defective pair back in a prepaid shipping package and be done with it but I see where the consumer stands with Reebok!
I've had my easytones for 3 months now. I have noticed a tremendous change in my calves/legs etc. However, I'm not impressed with their quality. The bottoms have completely worn out. I wear my easytones to work everyday and I'ma waitress so I walk ALOT. And in 3 months my shoes are dust. $119 well spent? misschien
Went looking for the New Balance 1100's, their version of Shape Ups > . Thx for all the great reviews on the shoe. One last note, they are a lot more attractive than the Skecher Shape Ups > . Happy Fitness everyone………
I have never believed in shoes that make you lose weight or anything like that, but I bought these shoes on a whim because I needed something I could stand in all day at work (retail) and walk to and from work in and after you break them in (i never bought shoes that came with instructions before) as directed, they actually feel great. I have knee and ankle injuries from high school track and was worried it might make the issue worse but I found I was walking faster to work, and more comfortable with being on my feet all day because the shoes do try to reinforce standing in a proper position. I definitely recommend them, oh, and nothing will make u lose weight like some good cardio and lunges, but these shoes definitely have made a difference just by using them as walking shoes! Ive lost 2 inches in my thigs in 2 weeks and my calves are starting to tone really well! These are results I did not get from my regular new balance and nike cross trainers. Definitely worth the extra cash…if you dont want to spend a lot try getting the lady foot locker VIP card, i only paid 70 bucks for mine!!
I brought the Avia Men's I-Tone 9997M af Famous Footwear after trying on the Shape-ups and the MBT in other stores. After a week in the shoes I was able to walk up the stairs faster than I ever did. Last winter I had a hard time just climbing DOWN the stairs. I will find how how this shoes hold up after a fews months. Already my feet feels a bit better and not as sore before bed. The Avia is more similar to MBT but more flexible and lower weight.
I felt that the Easy Tone shoes made me walk more upright with better posture and I found that I could walk a greater distance than in my other shoes.
My issue with these shoes is with the upper part of the shoe where the perforatd part is and the underlying white material is. I went walking on the beach and got sand in these upper parts and it stained both the perforated material and the under white material. I tried washing the shoe in the washing machine and the stains did not wash out.
I live in a climate where we have a lot of rain for many months over the winter and I don't think these shoes will work well in my climate – I believe my feet will be soaked every time I wear them in our wet weather.
my mother bought these shoes recently and actually had to give them to me because after wearing them all day her sciatic nerve started acting up! which isn't good… and then i started wearing them… i had new insoles and everthing… and when i went walking after the 2nd or 3rd day suddenly it felt like the joints of my big toes were broken!!! it hurt and it just did not feel good… so in my opinion i think for 50 bucks they were not worth it at all!!!!
I got mine two days ago at the Shoe Dept. for 80 bucks. Geld goed besteed!
My feet hurt me sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. At first I thought I loved them so I bought not only one pair but two (yes two) and after about 2 months I found out when I had them off at anytime I could hardly walk on my heals. So just this past week I changed back to my Jordan's and I still hurt. I wish I knew how to contact rebock and let them know how I feel about this. If I had to give a suggestion I'd say please don't buy these.
Thanks you for your time.

I wore my easy tones everyday for four months with consistent walking, jogging, exercises classes etc. I thought they were wonderful until they deflated. Definitely not $119 well spent.
my mother bought this shoe and gained more wait.
What their saying is all wrong
I am really upset actually. I walk about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes about 4-6 times a week with my Reebok Toners and I just noticed this morning that there is a tear in the inside of my shoe. I felt as if there was a blister coming about and I thought it was from my new socks as they were too big but no it's from the shoe. I haven't even had the shoes from a year yet. So now I am frustrated and I am not working, so I can't just go out and spend another $100 for Tennis shoes.
To everyone who is dissing these shoes, i would like to say that i actually bought a pair of Reebok Easytone shoes this summer and my legs look amazing.
No i didnt get dramatic results but if that is what youre wanting to acheive anyway they how about you actuallly try working out. But i wore these to work three days a week and the “cottage cheese” on the back of my thighs and upper butt dimished amazingly. Im not saying it all went away completley, but the improvement so far has been amazing. and i know if I keep wearing them the results will get better and better. So before you talk crap about something you havnt even tried, either try them out or go work out if you want HUGE fast results and stop complaining
I am a Nike girl, but I decided to try the Reebok Easytone. It is the most comfortable shoe I have every worn. I walk a mile to work, workout, and walk on the treadmill with them. Ze zijn geweldig!
I bought these shoes less than a year ago and they have already broken. I did not notice a difference in the tone, either. I talked to customer service and they said that these shoes are only for OCCASSIONAL use and are said to have a life of only 400 miles. Please, do not waste the money on these things.
I have only used one time and my toes went numb. Also my back started to hurt. But it did work my calf muscles. I'm hoping that the numbness will go away.
I should have read the reviews on them before I bought them.
A lifetime of 2 months??????
dat is gek.
I bought them for work shoes. I'm thinking i'll wear them every second day and hope I don't get permanent injuries just from wearing them.
So far so good but today was only my first day. my legs feel like they've been worked out. i hope thats a good thing.
Owned a pair for two months and must say I love them. I am on feet for 12 hours a day and really make my job tolerable. Unfortunately, the inside of shoe, heel area, has warn down to the plastic on each shoe. I get blisters on my feet and cracks that bleed from the plastic. Sad, after 2 months that this would happen on $110 dollar pair of shoes. I emailed reebok and waiting for response.
Today I will be returning my third pair of reebok toning shoes since June. The first 2 pair the air cushion in the ball of the foot deflated and when it did it was painful. So I then went to a pair of runtones and now the heal of the left shoe has deflated and actually bruised the back of my arch. I really like the feel of the shoes, I like reebok and I wanted these to work, but they keep blowing out on me. All I am doing in these is walking also.
The benefits are there, I could feel the calves, hamstrings, and top of glutes burning during long walks, they also help you to have better posture where you find yourself holding in your abs naturally and your lower back muscles. On days where I was having lower back pain I would put on these shoes and it would eleviate it.
Hopefully they will eventually fix these issues and I will try them again.
Last friday, I played badminton and I wore my Reebok EasyTone shoes for three hours. The soles were confortable. I really feel during my matches that my leg muscles tone, but my legs burned out and I became a little bit tired to continue to play badminton. Therefore, I think it's not a good idea to wear it for long hours if you practice a sport intensively, so for your safety, change your shoes to rest your legs.
I'ma walker of many years, walk on the average of 12 mi. per wk. I bought these shoes hoping to shape my legs >
I have owned these shoes for 6 months. I don't know if I now have muscles I never did before, but they have increased my balance. I definately feel like I am getting a better workout.
I have had these shoes for about 10 months and I love them. Extremely comfortable. However, I did notice yesterday that both balls on one of the shoes deflated. This happened sometime this week. Not a bad run considering I wear them all the time.
i am in italy on holidays and saw an ad for them, now i soo want them!!
for those who are complaining about having to walk on the outer side of your foot, that is a good thing! it straightens out your knees and spine, much like authotics, only much more comfortable
cant wait to try!
I got these shoes for Christmas. I thought awesome. Well I am 56 years old and never had hip problems. I starting getting severe hip pain. I went to see a orthopedic. I had an xray and a MRI. They could not find anything. I recieved a cortasone shot in my hip, never wore those shoes again. My hip is finally starting to feel better. So I have a size 7 if anybody would like to buy them.
Jan
I have worn these for 3 months and have started to have problems my knees. One more so than the other swells and becomes very still and I find it difficult to walk. I've stopped wearing the shoes and my knee is slowly getting better. I had been to the doctor and had it checked out but they could not find anything wrong so they told me to stop wearing the shoes. It's very frustrating because obviously they were not cheap.
My mum wears them and says that they have made a difference to toning her legs when she wears them.
So I bought these last saturday and I looooove them!!!! I wear them just about everywhere. The only thing I don't like about them would be the mesh because mesh is hard to clean. But other then that I love them and definetly would recomend them to anyone. I bought them because I wanted a new pair of tennis shoes so I kept saying to myself that I was going to get them ans so finally I just picked them up !!! I really feel it when I'm going up stairs but its a good feeling! Deff reccomend them!
“…and, frankly, a shoe (no matter how fabulous it is) isn't going to change your body.” what an ignorant and unfounded thing to say. there are many, MANY, physiological and kinesiological issues that are “corrected” by proper footwear. no, the easy tones do not help with most any of these issues but you are generalizing all footwear in this statement you are wrong.
I love my Reebok Easytones. Have been a New Balance girl but wouldn't go back. I've had two comments while in the gym about my legs and give the shoes credit. However, I do walk 2 mi. 4-5 days a wk. and ride a bike. But, no one ever commented before! Mine did split on the inside by the ankle. I had insurance and sent them back and got a new pair. I plan to buy a black pair for daytime wearing. They're the best for me and I recommend them highly.
I have had hip replacements and now have knee problems. I bought a pair of these thinking that they would be good for my legs, using all the right muscles. I wore them shopping for a couple of hours and by the time I got home my knee was so sore and swelled I couldn't walk for a day and had to ice my knee and stay off it. Don't buy these if you have any type of leg or knee problems!
Ik hou van ze! I bought the RunTones about a month ago and have been wearing them everyday and everywhere for walking, and errands, etc. They are so comfortable! I have bad knees, bad ankles, and lower back issues and these shoes have not caused me any problems, in fact I actually feel better now. And when I say I've been wearing them every day, I mean for hours and hours at a time.
I do see a difference in my calves – and admit it may not be for the reasons that Reebok claims, but since I find them so comfortable, I am walking more. I hope that the pods last, but since I usually need to replace my running/walking shoes anyway every few months and these are so comfortable, I will definitely be buying another pair when these go. I have black and purple by the way! ![]()
Im a physical therapist and i stand/walk all day long at work, when i home i have more walking to do to exercise my 150lbs dog. I used all other brand names but when i tried reebok easytone reinspire-II lux….i have found my feet's bestfriend. they are the best walking shoes
THEY WILL DEFLATE > THEY WILL DEFLATE > THEY WILL DEFLATE > THEY WILL DEFLATE > THEY WILL DEFLATE >
dan's right and I do
dan's right and I do
dan's right and I do
dan's right and I do
dan's right and I do
Do not buy these shoes unless you want to waste money. I bought a pair of Reebok Easytone shoes 5 months ago. On the bottom of the shoe where the front ball meets the sole, it already wore out, causing the ball to pop, which now makes a huge whooshing sound when I walk. So now I have a $100.00 pair of shoes that can't be worn. I will never buy Reebok again!
I tried on a pair at Kohl's today. Most comfortable shoe I've ever put on. I'm buying them tomorrow for 79.99 and I will also be using a 15% coupon. I'm buying them for walking on the treadmill and I know they are going to eleveate my foot pain that I get after about 20 mins.
I would say if your not in somewhat good shape / condition to start, save your money! I've worn a pair for the past 10 months, several times a week, the only thing I have to account for the expense is extreme knee pain. It seems the action required to stabilize your walking stride causes your knee to wobble also.
I have worn a pair of MBT's constantly for the past 6 months and I am on my feet walking around all day at work 6 days a week. In the beginning they were great after a week of adjustment and soreness. Then after about the 3rd month of constant wear I had constant pain in my lower back and achey knees like never before. I plodded through the ordeal compensating with a medical back support and knee braces under my clothing, but still not giving up on wearing the shoes.
Then I realized that the reason for the pain was probably the instability the shoes created working out my stabilizer muscles all the time, every single day. So by the 6th month I decided to take some time off and go without the shoes for a week. Low and behold. my lower back muscles finally had the time they needed to recuperate and repair all the micro damage that had been done. After which my muscles were amazingly strong and my posture as straight as it had been all the time I was wearing the shoes.
Years ago I used to be a competitive body builder so I jsut thought taking some time away from the shoes would give the affected areas time to recover. Het deed.
They are not claiming to replace any form of healthy eating or exercise. They are just a little extra help, and frankly if someone is willing to do something to work on getting healthy, and are doing all the right eating and such, then if they want to get shoes with little balls in them, hell, why not?
I bought easytone trainers while on holiday in the USA. I had back surgery 5 years ago and I was left with muscles in my tummy shot to pieces so my core stability weak. I can't praise these trainers more they have reduced my tummy size by one dress size and 7lbs in weight in a month of wearing them. I walk with sticks and only use these trainers while I am indoors and walk very slowly. I do have a very healthy lifestyle which does help enormously. So girls get out exercise watch what you eat and with easytone trainers you will lose weight!!!!!!!!
I bought a pair of the Runtone shoes yesterday for $57 at the Navy Exchange…they are extremely comfortable and made it easier to run. The material is very breathable. I didn't notice a huge change in leg workout but I think it just takes some time. I would recommend this shoe to anyone.
I got an email from 6pm.com for the easytone for 39.95
I wore my first pair of easy tones starting last december, I wore them the last 5 months of pregnancy and never experiend any typical pain in feet associated with pregnancy. I noticed my calf muscles started tightening up right away, and they are super comfortable. I just bought another pair (first is kinda worn down from wearing every day with extra weight) at 6pm.com- they are 39.99 right now. Check it out.
The worst shoes I ever bought. Zonde van het geld. My ankles hurt after wearing them. I gave them a long chance. Should have returned them. A friend of my complained of heel pain after wearing them also. Not worth the money!
I have a hard time believing that shoes will ever replace the tried-and-true real method of “toning” and building muscle: exercise. My advice is, save your money and spend your time instead.
I have a hard time believing that shoes will ever replace the tried-and-true real method of “toning” and building muscle: exercise. Here's a thought: why do your calf muscles tighten up? Is that healthy? After all, calf muscles tighten up when wearing high heels, and every doctor in the world agrees that high heels aren't good for you.
My advice is, save your money and spend your time instead.
my mom would love a pair of leg toner tennis shoes in white size 8, the problem is she has a narrow foot. she has had 2 hip replacements and isn't the most stable on her feet. kunnen jullie mij helpen. no stores carry narrow toner shoes. thank you, i appreciate your quick reply.
The main problem with these shoes,is that women wear them incorrectly. They were NEVER intended to be worn with socks. The mechanics of these shoes,is that they are supposed to simulate walking barefoot on beach sand.DO YOU WALK ON THE BEACH BAREFOOT,JUST WITH YOUR SOCKS ON?Don't think so.Any problems with feel, foot pain, and back pain is just as simple as getting rid of wearing socks with these shoes. The Reebok infomercial,(www.reebok easy tone.com),states this.
I purchased these at a local mall and at the store they felt cushy and comfortable. However when I wore them out my feet got numb and I had to take them off from the pain. They were cutting off my circulation and I was even wearing thin socks and didnt have them on that tight. I let my 22 yr old daughter try them and they did the same thing to her feet. I'm returning them.
Does any one follow directions/take advice any more?REEBOK EASY TONES were not intended to be worn with socks, period! You are defeating the feel>
Does anyone follow directions/take advice anymore?
I would just like to say that these shoes are not very good at all. Out of three coworkers, including myself, two of our shoes went flat and two of ours had top of the toes showing within a month. I have contacted finishline and reebok about this problem and have not gotten a response yet!! How many times do you have to inquire for customer service to get a response???? DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
i bought the shoes. i am a HUGE fan i wore them EVERYWHERE and i noticed my behind alot toner and my hamstrings..i highly recommend them i also go running in them i only run a mile and it really helped. they dont look dorky and they are super comfortable. i highly reccomend them to anyone who wants to tone there behind and legs. also if you dont run it doesnt matter if you dont my friend doesnt run she just does the normal walking and she has a desk job so i mean they work!
I think the author of this article needs to reconsider what she writes… “a shoe (no matter how fabulous it is) isn't going to change your body”… that is an incorrect statement if you wear heels for a prolonged period of time it can shape your calfs nicely not to mention give you weird looking toes… so that statement is incorrect. It is clear that she didn't even try the shoes “easy tones” and based on her so called research she doesn't know how to do that either. The work out a lot and bought both the run tones and the easy tones and within a day or two of wearing them I can feel it in my thighs in my calves and in my butt… they may not do the miracle everyone is hoping it will do but they at least keep you toned up in between gym visits. You can down right feel it in your muscles. It seems like every article Paige Waehner writes she talks out of her ass and doesn't know how to do her research well enough.
I was hoping to get a new pair for Christmas, but I didn't… I have had one other pair and they are by far the best shoes I have EVER owned. They are WELL WORTH the money, but they are actually coming down in price now. I went to DSW the day after Christmas and found a pair on the clearance rack for $50! I was thrilled. I've read through the comments and myself have had years of knee problems. These shoes help me to walk or work out several days a week without feeling the knee pain that I felt in regular walking shoes, which then made me skip days. I also work on my feet alot and these shoes have held up for a year being worn at least 10 – 20 hours a week. That's pretty good in my opinion. I also have a pair of the skechers shape-ups and I do like them, but skechers don't fit my foot as well and they feel too wide if I get them long enough. Not the case with these. If you can wear normal Reeboks, Brooks, or Asics, then the size will be the same. Unfortunately for Asics (I was buying two or three pair of them a year for workouts and walking, at about $80 a pair on sale) I will continue to buy EasyTones instead… No matter what they cost.
Honestly, I just got these shoes and I had no idea if they would work. I was very open minded. I wore them for 2 days straight.(shopping and work). I can really say that my calves are sore. They feel like I've been working out at the gym. I'll keep working and keep everyone posted. But so far, so good. ![]()
I just bought them today at shoe carnival for 69.99 and im excited to try them! will come back with feedback once i start wearing them.
Can you wear these while biking or on the treadmill?
I just recieved a pair of the reebok easy toners for men for my birthday. All I can say is man oh, man oh, man!!!! I have never felt this much comfort in any show like the reebok easy tone. Jus walking and 30 minutes of cardio. I could feel the resistance in my hamstrings, calves, and my forty nine year old butt. All I can say is give them a try. Yes they certainly made a believer out of me.
I just want to point out that there has is a neutral study, done by the American Council of Exercise, about these types of shoes, showing that they don't tone your body in any different ways than normal running shoes would. It even explains why users think it works after trying them.
Here is the link: http://www.acefitness.org/getfit/studies/toningshoes072010.pdf
Just bought a pair at marshalls for only $50! I got them today so not sure if they work yet but they look nice ![]()
they make my toes feel numb, that cant be good. i think the ball under the shoes is cutting the blood circulation to my toes
Well I'm glad everyone thinks theirs are comfy. Every time i wear them my toes go numb,my feet hurt ,I get a Charlie horse in my leg and my feet burn were the ball part is on my feet!
Finishline.com have them on sale for 29.99…I got a pair!!! I hope they are great!
Reebok is holding a sale on these puppies for $79.99 I ordered a pair and free shipping.. between the mixed reviews lets see how it goes
Hi I live in Alberta canada. I am a 50 year old that ;love to walk. Purchased my east tone, and love them until the left foot runner let go. The bottom of the sole let go, and it is completly flattened out, since they are a year old,I cannot return them, but has this happened to anyone else out there?
I had a pair and they were extremely comfortable after the first day or two of breaking them in and I wore them all the time. I definately could feel a difference in them versus my regular tennis shoes and I would recommend switching between regular and these often because I felt like my feet would hurt more when wearing the reeeboks longer and then switching to my regular tennis shoes (alternation will keep different muscles working equally). HOWEVER, after less than 6 months my easy tones went flat (not sure why or if its was because I literally wore them everywhere.) That is my only complaint on them (oh and a little pricey)
I haven't tried these yet, just got them at Marshalls for $39.99 , sounds worth it to me =)
Love the odd color of green and gray. First day wearing the shoes and have to give them a few days break in time before I can really comment. Had to buy one size up when trying them on, normally a size 8 I took a size 9.
I have these shoes (easy tones, in pink) and I love them, no to mentioned that I got them for a really cheap price (with military ID) These shoes are great, I wear them everyday and I can actually feel a difference I LOVE THEM!!! best 78 bucks I've spend
Got a pair from my hubby for Valentine's Day (Finish Line for $30!!! White and silver). It's a month and a half later, and the hubby told me yesterday that my butt looks “lifted”. I noticed it myself, but I wanted him to make the comment first.
I know there are a lot of naysayers, but I feel and see the results and for $30 it was TOTALLY worth it.
I just bought these last week for $60 at Famous Footwear. They were so comfortable in the store! Maybe I didn't allow any time to break them in properly, but after my first 5 mile walk in them, my feet and toes were numb and came away with a massive blister on the bottom of one foot. I gave my feet a break for a few days, doubled my socks on my next 5 mile walk and same thing happened! It feels like the “ball” on the front part of the shoe is curving into my feet and causing the numbness. They are very comfortable for light, easy walking, but are proving not to be a good “power walking” shoe. Ligt het aan mij?
I havent used the Rebox version, but I just tried the Danskin version after 6 months of having them sit in my closet. I walk 5 miles a day, so I'v been reluctant, afraid they would mess me up.
Well I have to say I was impressed! What a great workout! I could very well feel muscles being used that are not normally used during a walk!
So I jus bought the easy tone's yesterday nd i have flat feet but they helped support my arch seein how i ended up @ the grocery store 4 2hrs unplanned, no hype i can already feel the differance =) Im lookin forward to working out! And im short girl so i know this is the boost i needed ! there on sale up here in Chicago @ footlocker got mine for 79.99 plus tax ! But jus think of them as high heels because most women who wear high heels alot tend to have great legs !
I love my Rebok easy tones. When I first started wearing them I would take casual walks and could feel every mucle in my legs hips and butt tingle. Once I got use to them I started power walking with them and again I am getting the same effect. Plus I am recovering from a back injury and all back pain is gone since I have been wearing them. I have noticed a significant change in my weight and the way my clothes fit. I asked my spinal doctor about them he prefers them over sketchers. He said they are safer not as high a sole. I give them a big thumbs up and would advise anyone who is looking for a good toning shoe to buy them.
I bought a pair of Reebok Easy Tone Shoes for my brother as a birthday present, he likes it very much. Ik ben zo blij!
I bought these on sale in the states this year (Easter long weekend) and have been wearing them daily. They are comfortable cushion wise but ever since wearing them both my inner knees are killing me. Heeft iemand anders dit ervaren? I was told by a friend that you have to adjust to walking on your outter side of your feet to counter act where the ball alignment is on the shoe, this is apparently how you get the workout? Anyone know more about this? Bedankt
I believe they work especially after exericising. I try to run daily as long as weather permits. I ran in the reebok easytones and I don't think I have ever been so sore from running in my life and I usually run about 3 miles. I only ran a mile and half because I hadn't ran recently, but it feels like I ran more. My calves and thighs are so tight and its going on three days. I didn't really notice any tightness in my glutes though.
ill tell you about reebok easytone trainers they are the worst things i ever wore. they are hard and uncomfortable they burn my feet and my ankles are so sore after wearing them i paid over 100 euros for them. great things they say about them but they are rubbish ill stick to addidas in future
I bought these shoes a little over a year ago for use during my 12 hour nursing shift. Within a week, my toes would tingle and hurt… the shoes were not too tight either. Unfortunately because I paid so much for them, I kept using them, and within 3 months I noticed my right knee hurting when it was flexed in a certain position. (The tingling in my feet would happen intermittantly when I walked for long periods during my shift) I stopped using the shoe, the tingling problem went away immediatly, but the knee problem persisted, and I have finally had to get a knee injection from a developing bursitis. I am a healthy, normal weight person… I don't like to speculate, but I think these shoes contributed to a bad knee….
gewoon te zeggen.

I have heard some good things about them. I worked at sportchek where I sold them for some time. After learning about them there and on this website http://www.easytoneapparel.com I think theyre are a pretty cool looking, and designed shoe.
They even came out with a mens shoe!
I like the shoes and I do agree in not paying 119 for them. I went to Marshalls in Holbrook, NY apart of the chain with TJMaxx and found them for 30.00!! So I would suggest in keeping an eye on those stores and you might find a huge deal like the ones I purchased.
I bought a pair of the easytones a few months ago. I dont wear them all the time but i have noticed when i do i get terrible back and knee pain. I paid over €80 for these and i cant wear them.
The pain i am in is unbeliveable and i can hardly walk and sleep is hard as well. I have stopped wearing them now and my back is so much better and my knee as well.
i would not recommend people to buy these at all. Just buy yourself a good pair of trainers.
I am an avid runner and do it everyday and have wanted to try these shoes for quite some time now. About a month ago I saw them on sale and decided to buy them. Well I'm glad I did! As far as the above mentioned claims about what the shoe is supposed to do go I can't really comment because I'm not trying to lose weight but what I can say is that it is an AWESOME running shoe. The pads at the ball of the foot serve almost as your own personal feet shock absorbers and the net at the top of the shoe help with airing the foot. I would definitely recommend this as a running shoe. As far as weight loss is concerned I would definately hit the gym instead.
i'm starting college in the fall at a major university in my state (UGA). i will be making treks across the large campus five days a week, and i was wondering if these shoes would make this easier. i am not looking to lose weight, i am a runner and like doing so, but i would like to benefit from the supposed toning of this shoe. should i try these out, or just get another shoe designed for walking minus the toning?
I love the Reebok easy tones. they are worth every dollar and motivates me to exercise
I actually bought a pair a few days ago, been jogging/walking with them. I gained 5 lbs in muscle in just 2 days, which is amazing for me. I noticed that my thighs were much more toned, but havn't seen any results in my butt yet. But since it's only been some days now, i guess that's a good result!
But i love these shoes!
I love these shoes-I am a walker, and I have had some serious problems with my feet. These shoes are terrific, and I think worth every penny!
I just got some last week and wear them around the house during the day until our 110 degree heat breaks and I can handle going outside to walk. I only paid $20.00 for mine!! Hibbett's had a deal going on that if you paid full price for a shoe you got a red sticker for half price and the Reeboks were on sale for $39.99
I have been wanting a pair of easy tones for a while now just never wanted to pay the full price for them. I was skeptical but I have been able to tell a difference in just walking around my house so I know they will definitely work when I am able to get out and able to walk a good distance. Oh and as for the stability I am the most clumsy person alive and I haven't fell yet walking in them so I think most everyone can manage ![]()

GET THEM! I recently got a pair on close out from Footlocker for 29.99. They have performed so well in my daily P90X workouts that I now wear them everywhere. They WILL make you work different leg muscles… so make sure you are reasonably fit if you are going to buy them. An incredibly comfortable show @ an incredible price!
I got my easytone for a great deal at academy $ saved a bunch
Ive had easytones for about a month an half.i wear them everyday,i cant see any diffrence in my legs or bum also they make my toes go numb an I get cramp an my heels and by my toes really ache after ive worn them.i have the right size dont wear them too tight.i wouldnt recommend these trainers and I wont be buying another pair! I thought it would be a quick fix and instead its left me in alot of pain
I know where you can get a pair of easy tones for less than $30 on clearance…I just want to know if they are worth buying?
I only got them because they were 50% off, but I would never have bought them for the full price. But they are very very comfortable
After 8 months of using the Reebok easytone shoes (maybe twice a week) the air chambers busted open. I contacted Reebok and they do not stand by their product. I am an extremely unhappy customer. What a waste of money!
I recently tried these shoes while doing clinincals for a pre-nursing CNA program and they shocked me with how well they worked! Honestly, I lost inches in my legs and doubled my weight loss goal for the week (to 3 lbs). Did NOT expect this! I only bought them because I had to purchase all white tennis shoes at the last minute. I didn't change anything but the amount of walking, but that took the place of 1-1.5 hour daily medium intensity workouts so I am just THRILLED and continue to wear them!!
Judith-Ann
My daughter is on her 2nd pair of these shoes. The first pair lasted about 8 months and the air chamber deflated. She took them back to the store where I had bought them, with our receipt and they gave her a new pair. The sales person said told her that they had a 1 year warranty. She just called me, she's at college, and said the same thing happened again. She's going to talk to them and see what else can be done. Maybe Sketchers instead. We bought these at Younkers department store. Maybe try contacting the store where you purchased them.
I just wanted to let you all know that i also have easytone and the bottom of the ball ended up leaking air out….witch made them even more uncomfortabel….so ended up taking them back to the place where i bought them….they let me try the ones that you run with and those also are very uncomfortabel to wear, my back hurst and when i take them off at night i have a hard time walking cause my feet hurt so bad……the reebok ones don't buy….. I paid $100.00 and now i have to get a new pair of sneakers…not saying reebok sneakers are not good cause i do like reebok but not the easyton,,,,,
I got mine at marshall's for 50 bucks. Great deal and they feel awesome when I'm doing cardio!
I purchased some reebok easytone shoes in march of this year at first I thought they were working and then after wearing them for 3 months I incountered a problem. M y abdomen began hurting I wore them to work every week for 8 months and now I bought me nikedual fussions now I am not hurting in my abdomen area and the swelling has went down I feal so better I REALLY DO THINK THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THOSE REEBOKS AND I WISH I WOULD OF NEVER SPENT $110.00 ON THOSE SHOSE!!! SO FALSE ADVERTISMENT
I bought some easytone thinking they would help instead when the report came back I left my shoes on the floor an will not even pick them up how dare the company to make fasle report I am now waiting for my refund and tyhe shoes will be sold at my yard sale for free I am so disappointed in reebok I will never wear that brand again
I highly recommend.
Wish me luck!
Way to Reebok gaan!
